Today should be the last day of my quarantine. Tomorrow and Thursday I will be visiting the Uni Klinik here in Frankfurt to get tested. Both my tests must be 24 hours apart, and I must receive both test results, both also being negative, before I am allowed to return to work. Hopefully that won't take too long, but at least for the next few days until I receive my results I'll be allowed to go outdoors again.
It's amazing how much I'm looking forward to simply doing my own shopping.
I still have no sense of taste. I lost total motivation about 4 days ago, with yesterday being particularly bad as it included a monstrous migraine due to weather changes. However, today I am super motivated, albeit I was unable to sleep last night. Not having any physical activity makes it really hard to sleep.
I received my residency permit via mail this morning. That was an exciting letter, as I now have a German ID card as well as my residency permit for my Passport. Feels super weird getting that stuff through the mail, it is not so very German. Such things they really would rather do in person, and appointment based.
In other interesting news, I'm no longer allowed to work my second job. Recently they made it illegal to work in more than one job in certain essential industries, in order to keep people from spreading the virus more easily. I don't know the exact details on that, but when I do I'll pass it along. At least, this lasts until after the Pandemic but when that "End" is, one can only guess.
I've also heard that workers in healthcare will get a one time payout based on extra hours, unexpected hazards, and so forth. I don't know much about this, but supposedly it will happen in June. Once again, I will let you guys know if that's a thing here, who gets it, how much, and so on. Other than that, tomorrow you'll get the 411 on testing after quarantine, and the situation at the university clinic in Frankfurt. Should be interesting, to say the least.
