A bit I really liked when Petey was still in jail was the whole

Petey: Hey, I'm scaping jail to see you tomorrow

I don't know if is a hot take, but I think is kinda sad that, in the Detey stuff I have seen at least, every time Dogman is sad for Knight's death, there always has to be a moment of Petey apologizing, feeling guilty, calling himself a monster or even crying that ends up with Dogman being the one who comforts him.

Like, I'm not saying Petey shouldn't feel guilty or anything, but just for once it would be nice that Petey just shut up and let Dogman grieve. He can even feel bad about it, but just shut up, because is not about him and his feelings but about Dogman missing a dear and close friend.

Nothing against people who wrote something like that tho, I read really good fanfiction about it. I love Petey and I get he is a good source of angst. Is just a thought
