5 years ago, on this day ( July 14) the Hollywood Vampires realized their seventeenth concert (and the twenth of the 2nd leg) on the “Raise the Dead Tour”. Now rocking the 2016 Rock Fest at the Amphitheater Concert Grounds, in Cadott, Wisconsin.
> This show marks:
* The twelfth show in the USA on this tour and the second time the Hollywood Vampires performed in the state of Wisconsin. The first time was the “2016 Summerfest” in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on July 5.
* The third music festival the Hollywood Vampires played on this tour. The first music festival on this tour was the 2016 Rock in Rio Lisboa, on May 27, in Portugal, although two days later, on May 29, the Vampires played on the German “2016 Hessentag”, this one (known for being both fair and festival, organized by the German state of Hesse to represent the different regions of Hesse) has its events focused on cultural displays and exhibitions, more than music concerts. The second was the “2016 Summerfest” in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on July 5.
The Rock Fest is known for being the largest Rock Music and Camping Event in the USA, featuring the best of classic and modern rock & metal. On that year, more than 65 bands performed and both Vampires and Marilyn Manson performed on the second day, making this their first festival headline show.
* The third time the Vampires performed in an amphitheater. The first show in an amphitheater happened on July 10 at the The Ford Amphitheater, at the Riegelmann Boardwalk, in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York City, and the second at the Fraze Pavilion, in Kettering, Ohio on July 12.
* The third show without Joe Perry. After Joe got sick suffering from dehydration and exhaustion which led him to collapse during the second song on the show on July 10, in Brooklyn, New York, and return to California to rest properly, the Vampires continued the tour without him. Although Joe was not replaced by any other person, Tommy Henriksen worked hard on his guitar skills to assume the lead guitar to give a good show. The Vampires kept paying homage to him, adding the “JP” sticker on their clothes, a photo on the backdrop video and just like the fans in the audience, sent best wishes during the songs.
* The third time the Hollywood Vampires had a guest on stage. On that day, Marilyn Manson joined on stage and sang “I’m Eighteen” with the Vampires. Johnny and Marilyn had the same haircut and were all lovey-dovey teenagers as always... 💖💖
The first guest on the 2016 Raise the Dead Tour was Ian Hunter on July 10 in Brooklyn, New York and the second was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the rock band “Cheap Trick”, Robin Zander, on July 13.
* The seventh time Johnny alter his tattoo. When Johnny returned to the USA after the “Raise the Dead Tour” in Europe, he was updated about Ms. Heard’s hoax against him that she was doing while he was on tour. Unable to talk, being boycotted and still collecting evidences, Johnny protested covering Ms. Heard’s “SLIM” tattoo (which was changed to “SCUM” in June 2016) with stars drawn with black sharpie. Johnny started on June 5 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, repeated on June 7 in Aurora, Illinois, a third time on July 8 in Orillia, Ontario, Canada, a the fourth time on July 9 in Niagara Falls, New York, a fifth time on July 10, 2016 in Brooklyn, New York and lastly on July 13, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
* The seventh time the setlist is changed and rearranged, and the fourth time the show is shortened. On this day, The Beatles’ “Come Together” was the 10th song to be performed instead of the 6th. Without Joe Perry, his cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Stop Messin’ Around”, the 14th on the setlist, was not performed, and instead Motörhead’s “Ace of Spade” was played instead of the 16th. Apart of this, the setlist remained the same from the previous day and they closed the show with 20 songs, instead of 21.
