Junelezen Day 28: Family
Has your OC ever played wingperson for a partner or metamour? How did that go?
Caedh was instrumental in putting Idristan and Talia together. He's not the most subtle person when he wants something to happen, so when it became clear to him that he wanted them both as his partners, he bluntly told them he wanted them together too. Talia and Idristan gave things a shot after his request, and things turned out rather well.
*flicks away the rocks and debris and checks the guns*
Look. Getting shot by Talia is flirting. And Idristan -likes- you if he stomps his feet at you. Caedh does try to encourage them to bring home pretty things.
How does your OC feel about each member of the polycule?
Caedh is deeply fond of his two spouses, obviously. He is immensely grateful for their presence in his life as they have given him back life.
As for Idristan's choice in partner... Well, Caedh and Ghost just barely get on. They are friendly for the sake of Idristan and otherwise will just not bother with one another. They've a bit of a history that isn't the cheeriest. Unfortunately for Caedh, Ghost was there first in this case, so if he wants Idristan, the two have to play nice. Yes, he did try to shake Ghost off Idristan.
Most of the people around Idristan, Talia, and Ghost treat Caedh with a lot of suspicion and mistrust with good reason. It doesn't make it any easier for Caedh to want to be around them even now. He does put in the effort when asked by either Talia or Idristan, since he rather not disappoint them.
Which partner can be counted on to solve problems? Which partner can be counted on to cause problems?
Caedh is most likely the one to solve problems for the group. He's the eldest and has more experience to draw on than the other two. Plus they do tend to come to him when they're in over their heads or have exhausted their own ideas on solving the problem. Talia is the one to be more likely to cause problems, being the sort to prod a lion to see what might happen. However, Idristan has a very large curiosity streak that has gotten him into plenty of trouble. He really should stop following strange men into catacombs.
What is the make-up of your character’s polycule? Who are their metamours? Do they share any partners?
This is the Fae trio. The redhead is Talia @reddevil-xiv, dark-haired fellow is Caedh @thedarknesssings, and the white-haired elezen is Idristan @roses-and-grimoires. These three are wed to one another in equal romantic relationships and have some faebies together.
Idristan has a partner outside of these two by the name of Ghost, who is also married to Marius Vieremont @marius-vieremont. While Caedh and Talia are friends with Ghost and Marius, they simply share Idristan. Caedh and Talia currently do not have any other partners, but certainly enjoy flirting with people they find attractive when the whim strikes.
For Caedh: "Did Talia put you up to this, my Night? I do hope you'll let me join in; I've been wanting to test my fangs properly."
"...you know, love, I've been thinking on it, and... I still don't regret what I did. Giving up my boon so that their star could come back to you. Even if it means enduring Dream... it was worth it. For you."
“Someone certainly put me up to this.” Caedh exhales a long breath, a hand rising toward the blindfold just to fall away a moment later. He huffs and waves the hand in mild dismissal. “I can’t imagine I’d submit to this on my own whims. As for your teeth?” He hums thoughtfully, fingers drumming on the chair arm. “I’ll consider it. Moral dilemma and all.” Yet the corner of his lips quirk upwards coyly.
The second comment stills him in his seat. His hands move to fold together, fidget with the hem of his sleeve. He clears his throat and dips his head causing midnight hair to fall half across his face. “I thank you for what you did. I am unsure about the price it has come at. If he is connected, if Dream came as the cost…” Caedh trails off and shakes his head. “I’d welcome another thousand years of strife than see you suffer in my place.”
For the blindfold meme @Caedh "Dancing with you was something that was so enthralling, so... captivating that I never wanted it to end. It didn't matter who you were supposed to be, I just wanted to be swept up in your arms again."
A smile curves across Caedh’s lips. His head dips some, the blindfold keeping his pure black eyes from view of the speaker. He takes a moment, considering, thinking over the dances he’s had in the last moons, both before his liberation and after.
“Mm.” He hums softly. “One of my favourite pastimes. When you have the right partner, the stars sing in harmony along with you. But it is not the song alone that captivates, is it? There’s something more. Something that tugs at your being and weaves you together with your partner. Every step transports each dancer closer to clarity, to understanding the one they hold. Lulls us beyond reality. One might say the impossible is possible in the infinite moments of a dance shared.”
Caedh pauses and draws in a slow breath before murmuring, “I hope we have danced again since then.”
