the weed i just smoked beat me up, gave me a swirly, and shoved me in my locker
This hot weather is killing me
It's 26°C inside my apartment after fan-aided airing all night long. 37°C outside. It's going to be 24°C at night later for like two or three hours, im not going to be able to cool the apartment down at all. Like 24°C is the minimal temperature, it will not go lower than that.
Im so tired.
I need three laptops running for work, and im doing development work on two of them, so they generate quite a bit of heat too.
Any and all creative thought leaving my brain as soon as i get off work
My cat's name was Felicyta. She was the sweetest, cuddliest cat. She loved getting kissies on top of her head, and slept in my arms for hours at a time. She loved creamy tube treats. She liked playing with silvervine sticks, and didn't care for catnip. She slept next to me every night. She would talk to me all the time, trill, and chatter, and yell sometimes, and liked being carried around like a baby. She slept shrimping all the time. It would've been her 18th birthday next week.
Can you remember her with me for a moment?
She was euthanized, following a few months of chronic kidney disease and a few seizures. She has been doing well lately, her appetite was good.
She had what I think was a stroke suddenly. In the morning she woke me up for breakfast and wanted cuddles, and I gave her her medicine. An hour later I found her unresponsive. At the vet they told me there was nothing they could do and that euthanasia was the best choice.
I've been monitoring her wellbeing day to day for months since she was diagnosed with CKD and had those seizures, wondering when I will have to make the decision, not wanting to make her suffer. She has declined initially with the diagnosis, but then she stabilised, she still enjoyed life. In the end, her body made the decision for me, suddenly.
I keep expecting to see her sleeping on my bed. And when a draft rustles something in the apartment i keep looking and expecting to see her walking towards me and trilling when we make eye contact.
Reblogs have been turned off for this post but i needed it on my blog right now
Ngl, going from hamish linklater to ethan slater feels like a major downgrade...
Fanfiction is so goated actually
No monetary incentive, just writing in one's free time. Some incentive for like kudos and comments, because who doesn't want to hear that someone else enjoyed what they wrote. Just writing a story that is good and/or enjoyable, no real-life pressure to keep it going because god forbid you and other people are depending on it financially.
Writing a story because you want to write a good story, so you can write what they want the way you want, at a pace that is realistic for you, with exactly the plot pacing you want there to be.
