@cealach asked ❛ I hadn’t realized I was a villain in your narrative. ❜ - xx.
The boy seemed to think this was a farce, but Emhyr was far from amused. He’d given a single order – the simplest of tasks to be completed and yet, the young man couldn’t even provide him with the one thing that Emhyr desired most in the world – Ciri. He’d been promised results, not failure and the Emperor curled his lip in disgust. “You, boy, are no villain. You’re too weak to be a villain.” He lifted his chin, jaw clenching. “A villain returns with results and you, you’ve brought me absolutely nothing. The only thing that you are, is incompetent.” Emhyr had toyed with the idea of having the boy beheaded, that was until his father had begged for mercy. He was lucky that Emhyr was feeling generous, that he didn’t want to let the one hope he had of finding his daughter slip through his fingers. Unfortunately, Cahir was the only person who knew what his daughter looked like and it meant he was still the one hope he had of seeing her brought home.
