yeah bc lemony snicket was like reading is a virtue and what is postmodernism if not a child’s view of the world as a storybook. we didn’t invent library science so much as we discovered it- there’s comfort in the study of patterns. we’re following them whether we know it or not. your path exists already, it can’t catch you off guard if you study hard enough. to know is to love and knowledge will put you on stilts and you might find that you hate the view but it’s better than never having seen it at all. you can read your way out of being your parents too. but all that aside, take care of yourself. even if just for the reason that someone is watching, and they care whether you know it or not. and 10 year old me was like okay
