❛ i don’t remember heartless ever bein’ THIS aggressive. ❜ the barista has a damn fine memory and based on his own personal reports on the matter of observing activity in the area; he’s found that there was an up-sweep in activity whenever a KEYBLADE was near by. it was fascinating to him, actually. it hadn’t been till riku and him met eachother that he’d even seen the weapon in person. sure- he had heard stories and there was a lot of information on them given where he had come from.... but seeing the KEY up close was an experience he’d taken a lot of time to write about.

what made him even more curious was the fact that sora’s KEY was far less decorative. in fact, in broad terms hanekoma called it ‘simplistic’ but much like himself- simplistic didn’t mean much. what appears ordinary could be anything but. with sora around, the heartless gathered in a far wider rate and he was glad that the shop’s barrier was able to hold the creatures out before he certainly didn’t want to exert any effort for now.

❛ anyway- go on an’ get comfortable kiddo. i wanna ask you some stuff since yer friends tell me yer a pretty reowned traveler of sorts. ❜ the barista glances over his shoulder at the heartless that had been trying to pry at the barrier (which wasn’t budging at all) before closing the door with his foot. he was glad that traverse town had little shops with doors. it was nice having a bit of privacy in the shop for once.

“ well as i live and breathe , ” joshua smiled as he approached the keybearer , as if he’d known right where to be to meet him as he made his descent . how long had it been since he’d seen him last ? sora was definitely not the little boy he remembered , he looked far older than what he did in the sleeping world .

“ ugh --- do these things ever come to an end ?” the complaint is grunted in between the heaving breaths of air, that the veteran had been desperately grasping for. She was use to fighting against familiars & witches --- ever since these ‘ heartless ’ ( as he half explained during the midst of their current battle ) have arrived, and some of them even finding their ways into the labyrinths , the hunts had become harder. Ever since their arrivals, the girls had been consuming the twice amount of energies during their battles, compared to usual. Their souls darkening quicker with each round. The desperate needs of finding and defeating a witch had grown higher than before, as well. “ go ta’ right , i’ll head up an’ try ta’ hit from the back. That should take care of this ... thing .. ” witches were pretty scary to begin with, but seeing a witch become corrupted by a heartless, this was a whole new would of nightmare. / @caelight
