Bel’Terum residents: Caelim

//Ok so a looong time ago, I made some meta about Caelim—the angels/holy beings of Bel’Terum. It was really long and probably needs revisiting, but as I was looking for how Salem’s disembodied clerci magic might appear without a vessel, I saw these and was like “Omg it’s the Caelim!”

//They’re actually the Light Spirits from LoZ: Twilight Princess, but their shapes and radiance match the more animal angels that would likely populate Bel’Terum’s spirit world & Sovereign’s Kingdom, the Land of Souls.

//As such, they can only dwell in sanctified places without just scorching the earth they rest upon. They are guardians, guides, and avenging angels, there to aid the faithful. But as the world has become more infused with dark magic and Nightshade Wells (corrupted Wellsprings), fewer and fewer Caelim have been able to come into the world. Those that do come, sport only one or two sets of wings, as any stronger than that risk setting the land itself ablaze.

//Corruption cannot bear the presence of incorruption. Thus it has always been. Thus it would always be. Thus is present the necessity to have Clerics who can cleanse the world and make it habitable for the Caelim to come and help their brethren in the mortal realm.
