Theo might have spent most of each year at Hogwarts during her adolescence, but Hogwarts is not her home. Caer Nott will always be her home. Her ancestors settled on that piece of land around 870 AD. There have been Notts living there since before Hogwarts was even founded, an unbroken line of Notts stretching from the 9th Century up to the present day. There’s magic woven into every inch of that house and property, ancient magic that recognizes Theo as its own. Centuries of her ancestors are buried there. Her mother is buried there. It’s not simply the place where she grew up; it’s also the place where she’s most deeply rooted. And it’ll pass out of the possession of her family over her dead body.
