I got so caught up in tumblr's annual party over Caesar's death, that I forgot there were other holidays in march. Now there are green things everywhere and all I could think all morning was "whats that gotta do with the Ides?"

Tyranny Is Dead!

Spread the news: “Liberty! Freedom! Tyranny is Dead!” It is done! The deed that I have vacillated over for so long has finally been executed, and I know in my heart it was the right thing to do for the people and the good of Rome. Today upon the Ides of March my fellow accomplices and I have slain the mighty Caesar and with him the threat of Roman destruction. Our plan of attack was carried out perfectly as Metellus distracted good Caesar by pleading with him to lift the banishment set upon his brother, Publius. Despite Caesar’s refusal, we were too cunning for the conqueror who like any man, will fall victim to flattery. Oh how we praised him! He never saw it coming when we drove our weapons into his flesh. I have told everyone to proclaim it the streets after it was done to tell the people what has taken place. I have sacrificed my friend for the future of Rome.
After Caesar was lifeless on the Senate floor, I sent the rest of the conspirators to dip their hands into the blood of Caesar, and to go out into the marketplace where they shall tell the people the great deed we have done for them. They must be aware of what we have done for them! We shall wear his blood upon our hands like a coat of honor. Our actions will have saved the republic. Once they know the names of their saviors, they will praise us for freeing them from potential bondage. A funeral will also be held out of respect for my friend. Antony would like to speak and Cassius disagrees with the notion, but no matter he shall have his say. Antony has already agreed with my terms and conditions for his speech at the funeral and I do not fear that there will be a conflict. The people are on our side, and they trust us. We have done them a great service on this fateful day.
And so now I encourage you to spread the news of Caesar’s death. I invite you as well to learn more about the specific details of the event that took place by visiting here: http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/the-ides-of-march-julius-caesar-is-murdered

@Worrysome_wife45: Oh Brutus! What have you done? I fear that you put too much faith in our people. There are those who will have loved Caesar more than they have loved you and will not side with you. Brutus you must run away into hiding, they will come for you! http://www.travelocity.com/
history can be divided into two parts: BC (breathing caesar) and AD (after death)
