Who said autistic people aren’t creative? Autistics tend to have a thing called “context blindness”. One of the effects is that we can find connections others can’t because we fail to see the pre-existing context.
And do you know that autistics can be creative -and- rigid-minded? Who knew? In my case at least, once I find a connection, I focus on it to the point where I stick to it and it’s difficult to move on to another connection.
Darn caetextia strikes again and I'm so upset right now how I thought we get to have class next Friday when it's actually tomorrow. Not to mention that I ordered a ride out of town for this evening.
Right-brained caetextia is caused by a lack of instinctive feelings to moderate the person’s thoughts and behaviour, leaving the mind to run free, making directionless, random associations. Because a right-brained caetextic person is more emotional, it may seem odd to suggest that their condition is due to a lack of instinctive feelings, but it is the lack of emotional instincts to discipline associations that give rise to problems. Scientists researching decision making have determined that it is emotion, fired by imagination, that prioritises decision making, not logic. “Emotions arise when events or outcomes are relevant for one’s concerns or preferences and they prioritise behaviour that acts in service of these concerns”7 (our italics).

This is so me. Caetextia means “context blindness”, which is basically blind towards context found in everyday life. I think this paragraph in particular explains why people kept calling me creative. It’s also why I don’t think I can make serious theories about popular media anymore.

It very much depends on how you see it, doesn't it? I would think it as frank honesty is often seen as an inability to be diplomatic or tactful. What if i simply don't like bullshitting people? Just because "diplomacy" is the norm, does it mean it should be? For everyone? All the time?
