so... would you recommend before the storm?
this is legitimately tough to answer tbh.
i will say that i REALLY enjoyed the first episode. i found the writing to be way above the quality of the original game, and i like how much depth they added to the existing characters. it was really in line with a lot of popular fanon and consistent with the characterization of LiS for the most part (with the exception of some of the decisions made w/ minor characters, like Evan, but deck nine’s handling of them made them more interesting, not less).
that said, it’s only the first episode. and the original game burned me SO badly and so late in the game that i don’t think i can really recommend this in good conscience to anyone until it’s wrapped up and i can judge the work as a whole.
tldr; i had a lot of fun and i’m excited for future chapters, but i’m too apprehensive to tell anyone else to spend their money on this game until i know it won’t end up being another massive disappointment
