I've heard many a complaint about the George V: a tourist trap, pricey, the mood is hectic. I can vouch for it, though: not that expensive, food is tasty, as busy as you can expect yards away from the Arc de Triomphe, the added benefit of being able to practise your language skills with waiters (at least a couple of them are capable of handling small talk in half a dozen or so).
