I've been to Baguio several times already but I consider this as my longest stay here in the summer capital of the Philippines.
The occasion? To celebrate our 4th anniversary! July 11 2013.
BUS-VICTORY LINER (6 Hours for ordinary and roughly 4 hours for Class A from Manila) We opt to choose the ordinary bus going to Baguio to enjoy the stop overs and the Class A bus for departure because I can sense that we will be dead tired at the end of this trip.
It’s one of those bed weather days in Baguio but nevertheless the weather should not spoil our trip.
FAST FORWARD >>> Touchdown to Baguio is around 2 pm. We went to my sisters’ apartment to drop off my bags and paid a courtesy call to my boyfriends’ relatives in Baguio and now you see us waiting for a cab that would take us to dinner. GOOD TASTE HERE WE GO!
TADA! So here we are for dinner! GOOD TASTE CAFE & RESTAURANT
Featuring Philippines’ finest cuisine match with affordable prices. We ordered Fried rice, Buttered Chicken (my sisters’ favorite),Birds’ nest soup, Mixed Pulutan and Blue lemonade (which is not included in the picture)
Since it was my first time to dry their dishes, my personal favorite is the buttered chicken, rating of 10/10. Birds' nest soup tastes bland, so I’m giving it a rating of 5/10. Fried rice is very tasty! Rating of 9/10! Mixed pulutan is so confusing. It tasted dry and oily for my liking. Rating of 5/10. Blue lemonade is nothing special. It's like drinking a blue colored soda, 6/10. Overall I’m giving the restaurant a rating of 8/10. It’s clean, has lots of waiters and waitresses, good serving and delivery of food but I’m not liking the plastic tables and chairs, you have to wait if you want to dine in those leather couches like ours.
Still have left overs from our dinner. Hehe. Next stop, street foods galore and ukay ukay madness in the cold streets of Baguio! It makes a dull night feel so alive with so many people hustling and rushing in to great finds!
It was getting late so we asked my sister if there is a place we could chill. Then she recommended Café Will, so off we went.
Interiors were cozy and classy! Rating of 9/10 Thank you sister! Hehe
So we ordered desserts, since my sister is craving for ice cream.
Coffee for my sister, choco milkshake for me and banana split for my bf, me and my sister. Hehehe…All of them were delicious! My milkshake is to die for! And the ice cream is so creamy! We spent about an hour and a half listening to our requested songs played by a live acoustic band inside the area.
It's the perfect place to end the night.
