Thanks <3 I don’t think I’ve ever owned such a sweet cat. In her life, she fostered a lot of abandoned kittens – including my other cat Cosette – taking them in without any fuss at all. I mean, who does that? She was also mostly deaf, but never let that stop her from doing what the other cats could. T__T

@sawthefaeriequeen I saw the news about voltron though!!! I’m vicariously happy for you all! I don’t go there but I am excited!

I just. Shiro was already freaking great and meant a lot to so many of us: Asian character in Western cartoon who has a prosthetic arm, has been visibly mentally ill since season one, and is a beloved and respected leader? And 100% lovable? Fuck yes. BUT NOW, OMG. Shiro’s not only canonically LGBT+, it was revealed he was living with a chronic illness (a Big Bad eventually did experiments on him and took it away, but still) and in the past, had to wrestle the demons of possibly dying young. LIKE WHAT KINDA REPRESENTATION? SUCH A WIDE NET OF IT? I grew up only watching ~Asian nerds:* and martial artists on Western media??

(…and GOD, I am trying, trying not to get my shipping hopes up BUT LIKE. the official Voltron twitter tweeted something about Shiro and Keith ~growing closer~ barely one hour after the reveal, and then apparently scenes of Shiro’s ex-boyfriend unceremoniously dumping him were interspersed with Keith saying (for the millionth time, on this show) things like ‘I will never give up on you’, ‘We saved each other’, along with something that looks damn well like an almost-kiss, so much that the whole convention room gasped, and oh my god HELP.)

*also, it just hit me that the one young white dude character fills up what would have been a stereotypical “Asian nerd” role here, omg. And that the only other white dude, who is a main, is an effeminate, flamboyant uncle figure. I love this show.

Ohh man, I never went to Teen Wolf but even I'M having flashbacks to those days. They were dark days. And yeah, I agree. I think sometimes actors should just not go near fandom stuff (though also I feel like they'd love to not touch upon any of it, but are obligated to)

TEEN WOLF CONS WERE SO BAD. I’m still convinced some of those 'fans’ had a hand in two of my faves’ decisions to leave the show, and I will resent that for all time.

I guess some of them have to engage for PR’s sake…but not all actors are well-versed in PR (not that it’s their fault), and not all of them can handle wank-baiting fans, and that can come off disastrously. Well, fandom spins it up into a disaster, anyway.

Actually, while we’re talking actor involvement: Steven Yeun is always hilariously silent and hands-off on anything VLD-related, even though he voices Keith (so one of the, arguably, 3 leads?) and has some of the juiciest plotlines, lmao. I love it.

I still can’t get over 2014 Tungle personalities moaning about how Jawn Gween’s Augustine is, like, so pretentious...while simultaneously writing tag meta about the heartbloodsong of the weaponized femme white lady with blood nails who runs in high heels and also the number of times Stilesloki gasps in this gifset is indicative of their childhood abandonment by that one Winchester whose bright-red heart was eaten by Hannible who swallowed his godship whole while we all perform queenship with pointed capitalist eyeliner and also kill a thousand men somehow except that one guy from 1D who is defying gravity and also gender roles.
