there’s something in the air that feels different.     after helping that woman and breaking her out of the cage the two of them seemingly found themselves stuck in  ----  it changed him.     maybe it was the same feeling clarke had.    how everything was so different and even returning to the place that     felt like a home    wouldn’t change the fact that it never could be.     he couldn’t lead them.    there was a war that they started and he wanted no part of it.     so he left.

he started walking,    knowing that no matter where he’d end up he’d have to answer to    someone.      he knew it was a possibility that he’d be killed on the spot,   but at the end of the day there’s a part of him that was    okay    with that fact.     like it was what he deserved for killing all of those people in mount weather.    

what he didn’t realize,   was   how far   he was walking.   he thought he was heading in the same direction as clarke,  but it turned out he was going further north,    and he realized just how   foreign   the territory was.     but through the clearing,    he recognized a familiar face.

one  hour  and  fifteen  minutes  since  she  had  snuck  out  of  his  room .     one  hour  used ,     shifting  in  a  bed  that  suddenly  felt  too  big ,     too  cold  without  her  and  he  never  fell  asleep .     gives  up  and  fifteen  minutes  used ,     walking  his  usual  route  around  the  ark     :     a  few  moments  used  by  the  window ,     overlooking  a  still  red  earth .     but  somehow ,     he     always     seemed     to     end     up     outside     her     door .     his  round  always  ended  up  here ,     but  he  never  mustered  up  the  courage  to  knock  on  it .     never  did  anything  to  make  his  presence  known  to  her ,     on  the  other  side .     /     @cagefound

           it still feels all too  strange  to him to travel without her. they have always done most things side by side, he has preferred that way for so long and in truth he still does. however, sometimes it is best to leave her in charge in his stead. there is no one else he trusts with the responsibility. the absence of her presence, though, makes him all too  relieved  and glad to be home. this journey lasted nearly two weeks and he finds himself wanting nothing more than to ignore his duties for some time to be with her. they spent three winters apart, they are entitled some sort of selfishness at times. at least, that’s what he tells himself when he arrives home in the early hours, quietly entering their chambers.  “  yu stomba raun?  ”  it’s a soft-spoken inquiry, low enough so as not to  disturb  her if she is sleeping after all. ||   @cagefound

‘  do it ,  ‘    she snaps,   feeling the chains dig into her skin as she pulls at the restraints,   only getting more and more   upset   with herself.     ‘  go ahead,   do it.   please!   just do it!   ‘     selene screams,   seething as she feels her chest heaving.    the two had gotten close on the ring,  but now?     she knew she was   expendable,    just like echo.     the two were easily the first two that would’ve been thrown off the ring if they had to.   they didn’t belong anywhere.    not anymore.     ‘  kill me,   please ------  ‘

          the rocket is still and empty and little more than a memory , but it’s where he sits now. no suit or helmet , not like they’re going anywhere. well , he is. maybe. this whole death thing’s still a little uncertain. all he knows is that he’s waiting for echo. waiting to say goodbye one of the people he’s missed the most as the years flew by. it’s funny , how a hundred and twenty five years have gone by , but he can still picture them all cramped inside here. in pain and mourning and a relentless hope. how lucky he’s been , to have a lived a life so much more filled with the last. 

          the sight of her , when she appears , is enough to bring a smile to monty’s lips. he’s ready for this moment , ready to say goodbye and thank her for all she is , but it’s so hard to know where to start. so instead , he lets the smile take root on his face. “ hey. ”

‘    do you yield?    ’    sven grins,    sword arm extended in her direction as amusement flickers in his hazel hues.    knowing echo,    it’s likely she does not  ---  and he is absolutely expecting her to find some way out of the predicament he now holds her in,    sword at her throat.    they’ve spent countless days like this before  (  when sven is not drinking his sorrows away  )  and yet he never tires of it.    echo is one of the brilliant warriors in his life that he adores,    preferring speed and cunning to strength and brute force.    ‘    come on.    what other options do you have?    ’    he’s teasing now.    /    @cagefound​
