I'm on anon because Cahie is my sideblog, but read my post about children playing neopets. Kids CAN access the boards and can fake their age. I know a whole lot of people there who are 13, 14, and 15 and they have younger siblings who play. Just because it was possible to post porn, gore, and sexual roleplays on a KIDS SITE does not in any way make it okay, even if a lot of the players are adults.
Hi! I just saw your post, and I want to keep this civil. I should have mentioned this in my post, but I do NOT think that the gore, porn, and violence being posted on user lookups is acceptable in any means. This being said, children around that age already expose themselves to that kind of material everyday. I’m not talking about those who are under thirteen of course, but instead are in that age limit. I know I snuck onto the Neoboards when I was “underage” growing up also, so I can’t argue against that point.
The overall message I was trying to convey in that post is that what is going on was kind of inevitable. A large portion of users have felt like they have been being kicked around for a long time now. So many site features are missing, the lag for a long time, the outcry against so much of the original staff being removed… with the majority of players being adults, of course they are going to jump onto an opportunity like this. Doesn’t mean they should, but they will.
I’m always down for a civil debate, but please don’t tell to go back to 4chan, and it end on a rude point like that. I meant no harm against you or anyone else. I was just expressing my own thoughts.
