Today, a guest lecture/ parent-student interaction was conducted for the students of KP Stage 2 as part of their ongoing science topic - ‘Keeping Healthy’. Mr. Vishnuvardhan, a parent dentist, was invited to speak about different types of teeth and their functions. Children were also explained about various relevant things like - the right way of brushing their teeth, the amount of toothpaste to be utilized, food that causes tooth decay etc. Students actively participated in the interactive session!

Science Activity - Measuring Light Intensity 

Students measured the intensity of light using lux meter. They also investigated that as distance from the light source increases the intensity of light decreases.

Science Activity - Making Solar Oven  

Learners were asked to make solar oven and present about advantages and disadvantages of using solar oven. They were asked to get different materials to check whether they are transparent, translucent and opaque. They were also investigating which objects form shadows.

Science Activity

Students got different things based on clues given by the teacher and sorted things - that use electricity and things that don’t use electricity.

Maths Activity

Students pasted ten petals on two circles each. One circle represented the multiples of 3 and other represented the multiples of 4.

Compost Making Activity

Students observed Mini Compost making arranged in the class and later watched a video and drew their own compost on A4 sheet.

Global Perspectives - We and Our Earth 

Learners learnt to be responsible towards the mother Earth as a part of their learning in the unit Looking after the world.

Scratch Programming - Project on “Natural Disaster” by Sensing Colors and Mouse Pointer  

Students prepared projects on any 4 natural disasters.

They programmed it in a way that whenever the mouse pointer hovers over a picture the name of the disaster appears, transition happens, and the picture opens in full screen and more info about the picture is displayed or heard.
