This year for the Starfighter Secret Santa, I have the pleasure of gifting a fic to @chrysonoe, whose awesome art you should all check out when you get a chance! The art of Hayden/Phobos they gifted me for last year’s gift exchange was a delightful surprise and I love it. Getting a chance to circle around and gift them something this year was really nice to be able to do.
Wishing you happy holidays, Chrysonoe, however you’re celebrating this year! I hope you enjoy this little fic as much as I enjoyed writing it. I hadn’t written Cain/Helios before, so that was a lot of fun! When I saw you wanted smut AND domesticity/fluff I got very excited because I love that combination, too. My mind immediately went to them on Mars, either after their military service had ended, or perhaps between deployments for away missions. I wondered what kind of relationship they’d have if they started living together. And of course as we both enjoy Commander Hayden, I couldn’t help sneaking in a few of Helios’ memories of him.
