Denver was waiting on the side of the room for her date to find her. Everyone was in a state of shock, sadness, excitement, fear - it was palpable, and it made Denver feel...she wasn't sure how it made her feel, in truth, but it made her want to get out of there. But Denver wouldn't leave frantic and by herself this time, so she scanned the crowd, catching sight of not her date but of Cain Gunn.
"Cain!" Denver called over to him. "This is crazy, right?"

Denver's mind was not on the path in front of her while she was wandering. There was too much excitement for tomorrow. She'd be watching the launch of the Hunger Games from the Tribute Tower itself - it was an incredible opportunity and Denver wanted to take advantage of every second. She was so focused on memorizing the details of the night before the launch that she managed to walk straight into another person.
"Shit, sorry!" Denver said quickly, and then looked up. Multiple days in, she should be used to meeting victors by now, but bowling into one was another story entirely. "Sorry," she repeated, flushing from the additional mortification of almost bowling over a victor of all people.
