I watched Our Flag Means Death for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I'm on my first rewatch already because it's such a beautiful show full of just absolutely amazing bits.
One of my favourite bits is this scene in s1e5 - The Best Revenge is Dressing Well
Now, someone who has the ability to make gifs could do something wonderful and gif this scene so we can see Ed's utter look of shock as Stede looks on at his handiwork. I, alas, do not know how one would do that.
(ETA: Thank you to @fallenrocket for finding and sharing said gif:
Anyway, as to why I love this scene. Aside from the fact that stede has just displayed the power of massive (passive) aggression in a beautiful way, it really switches the characters.
Out of the two of them (Blackbeard and the Gentleman pirate) if you were to bank on one looking maniacally on at their chaos and the other looking shocked at the outcome, you wouldn't think it was that way around.
Anyway, I love these pirates so much. I ugly cried at the end of season 2.
That's right, Norway!
HATSUNE MIKU'S OURS NOW!!!

For the record, I didn't actually watch the game. I was binging The Cat and the Dragon.
ETA: Oh...extra time's longer than I expected. C'mon England. Don't make a liar out of me for posting early 😅
AETA: Well done, lads! Know what you're fighting for!
So, I'm watching Superman (1978) to get myself prepared to watch the new one soon and, as I always do when I'm watching stuff on TV, I'm flicking through Wikipedia and reading stuff about the film and the actors.
Now, I always loved Christopher Reeve. I was 7 when he had his accident and I remember being devastated by it, but reading about him on Wikipedia I needed to share two quotes about him that genuinely moved me.
After being heckled for performing in a play with homosexual themes (in 1993) he responded with "What I hear this lady saying is that she is uncomfortable with things that don't resemble her or her way of life. This country is founded on a completely different principle, which is tolerance and diversity."
And (about) a decade earlier he spoke out against Donald Trump saying:
"You're allowed to dream as big as you want, but if your dreams step on the lives of ordinary people and ruin the quality of their life and their neighborhood, you have to be stopped."
I know there's a lot of bullshit going on in the world today, but these quotes from a man who (sadly) passed away over 20 years ago genuinely brought tears to my eyes.

This add that @syrupmap contributed has been living rent free in my head for over a week.
Specifically
Such a beautifully true thing. I'm sure artists out there have drawn Supes and Christopher Reeve meeting. Please, if you know of any of those pictures, flood my dash with them!
And that's it. I've just finished A Parade of Horribles. I've read Matt's afterward and listened to the secret skit (and I'm now listening to the original version of Pony's song). The only thing I haven't read is the Pineapple Cabaret bit, which I will be reading when I get home.
Again, Matt, thank you for writing something so fucking perfect.
I've stopped trying to anticipate what's going to happen in upcoming books. I don't engage in fan theories for upcoming books or floors because. At the end of the day, *nothing* I would have guessed would have come close to what Matt puts out.
Thank you so much.
I don't think I'll ever be able to get into why Carl is so important to me. I think only intensive therapy would really uncover why it has such a deep hold on me.
We've never met, Matt, but I love you so goddamned much.
And so, i finish this post with the words of a great philosopher and my next tattoo:
Unity, support, family, and kneecapping bitches.
--Update--
As someone's asked what the secret skit is and I can't reply to comments with pictures, it's literally called 'secret skit' on the audiobook
Tifa: Cloud, it's time we talk about the chocobo in the room.
Cloud: You mean the fact that you and I have vastly different memories of Nibelheim?
Tifa: No. The *literal* chocobo in the room.
Me watching the most recent episode of
✨️The Two Queens✨️
Just before that ending beat: I just love them so much 😭😭😭 I just want them to be together 😭😭😭
An IRL friend of mine has finally picked up Dungeon Crawler Carl!!
This, in turn, has prompted me to start either my 3rd or 4th relisten/reread.
