Playing Baldur's Gate with my boyfriend is me and Astarion absolutely tanking while he spends his time trying to get Karlach not to fucking die for the 30th time in a singular fight. Playing BG3 with my boyfriend is also doing the same Goblin fight over and over again so he can get Karlach's stupid iron from a random chest for a singular smooch.

Hob Gadling has the occasional nightmare but it's always weird because they end about as abruptly as they begin and he always just ends up in this random garden with the trees seemingly happily waving at him. He never knows why this is until one day his stranger ends up in that garden, just standing there waiting for him. He doesn't know it's real. He doesn't even know who Morpheus is. But he's come to the conclusion that his crush on him is what's stopping the nightmares. So now treats every night with Morpheus like a date.

Morpheus remains oblivious but he's happy Hob is happy all the same.

Dragon AU dreamling thought.

Dream can change his form outside of the dreaming. He's more likely to appear as a human or a cat but on very special occasions he'll show up as a dragon. Different sizes but the same look. Sometimes he perches on Hob's shoulder and coils around his neck, feathers brushing against the stubble on Hob's chin. People think he's a feather boa, or maybe a fancy scarf. Until he pokes his little head out and then they're like...is that a bird? Is it real? Hob wtf?

Or on very memorable occasions, when threatened by the odd mage or someone just looking to learn the secrets if immortality Hob's wonderful little scarf uncoils itself, and then again, and again, until they're faced with a massive dragon. Its talons digging into the ground as it's body coils around their tiny little ones. Usually, they run. But sometimes someone gets a little brave and well...they don't last very long.

On Hob's day off Dream likes to fly him somewhere special. Teleporting with sand is forgone for the feeling of flight and the time they get to spend together doing it. They'll land somewhere secluded sometimes and lie in the warm sun atop soft grass with Hob leaning carefully against Dream's feathered body and shaded by large wings. Hob likes these days most of all

Going through old NightVale fanfics is such an absolute vibe bc all the crossovers are like fucking Homestuck and Supernatural. Its like im being hit with a hammer everytime I scroll

Sorry but Morpheus is alive in my mind and living happily in the Dreaming with Hob and you can't take that away from me
