Cals roommate is PCSing before/right after thanksgiving. They are trying to push everyone out to their duty stations as soon as possible now. Cal is going to be one of the last ones standing from his IBOLC group and I am glad only because it means we get to go home for christmas without having to shell out a thousand dollars. (thank god for ARC and MLOC and cals thriving in any course he does. He flew through ranger school with no recycles, is currently on a 4 day FTX for ARC, and is on a waiting list for MLOC in January. Thus, putting us on a timeline to move in February)
But on the other hand I am so ready to be in Hawaii and have a house of our own and be able to actually unpack things, buy furniture we like, and find homes for things. There is so much in storage that I literally have no idea what is in there because my mom packed all my things from her house and sent them with cal. i already know there is going to be so much thrown out. I am excited to start a new adventure. own our first home. and decorate with the intent of living somewhere for longer than a year.
omg and a puppy! we are getting a dog as soon as we find a place to live. Cal and I are both dying to get a dog. if it wasnt so expensive to take one to the island with the possible cost of quarantine we would already have one.
