Back then I was slightly salty that shattered lost, but then Calcium Cat made a great comic at its conclusion so I was no longer salty. Now I have pledged to get as many unfinished ideas/art from 2023 done as much as possible as a challenge to myself.

oh my god people are genuinely defending calciumcat?

idk if you guys are aware of this but just because a transphobe shows basic fucking respect to trans people it doesn't make them better than other transphobes. the fact of the matter is that even if she shares ""different views"" she's still a transphobe. the wording of her post also implies she's against nonbinary people (heavy emphasis on male and female), which I'm pretty sure a large majority of this fandom are in one form or another.

I don't care if she's your favourite writer, artist, whatever, you have to be critical of her. you have to be critical of anyone you look up to otherwise you end up with a borderline cult.

just because she's phrased it nicely and calmly does not make her less of a transphobe.

Bonus excerpt that didn’t make it in! The original first flashback was going to go like this- 

“No, no, your other cheek!” He held a hand up, tapping his left cheek in indication, only to watch helplessly as Ink smeared more paint over the permanent black blotch on his skull, his eyelights rapidly cycling through a dizzying set of confused colors and symbols. “Here?” “That’s the same cheek!” “But it’s the one you pointed at!” Blue held his nonexistent stomach as he laughed harder, rocking precariously on his stool, the ring of his ‘Mwehehehes’ filling the kitchen with blissful delight that settled his mind and warmed his soul. He couldn’t help joining in, unable to hold back his sniggering any longer as Ink wiped harshly at his skull, streaking his formerly white bone with bright lines of color that matched his flustered rainbow blush.
