Drabble Challenge 2025 - Day 8 // Stars
Caldarus x Farmer/Reader (Fields of Mistria)
Mistria lay quiet under a new moon. The stars sprawled across the sky like spilled beads, innumerable and bright. Caldarus reclined on a blanket beneath them. He patted the spot next to him as you approached.
"Join me." You settled beside him and gazed up into the night sky. Warmth radiated from his body, a relic of his dragonhood.
"They're different now." Caldarus turned to face you, his eyes like candlelight. "The stars have changed since I last knew them in this form." His fingers brushed against yours, tentative and wistful. "I am glad to meet them again with you."
