Once again, the hours had melded into the infinite meddling of time within the Dark Place. She didn't know up from down, left from right, fact from fiction. But that was fine. She'd been stuck there for multiple lifetimes, and every time her and Thomas Zane met, it felt like home.

How many tabs had been dropped? Had any? Had they smoked or snorted? She didn't remember, past memories colliding and fading. All that mattered was now. Him. The music. The warmth. THE LIGHT.

For the millionth time in an eternity they shared, she leaned down and caught his lips in a soft yet needy kiss. She leaned her body weight against him, craving to be closer. She wanted more. NEEDED more. Anything to make it last, so that the loop didn't progress.

"I don't want to start again," An abrupt sentence, muttered against his lips. "I don't want to end up in Night Springs with Scratch. I don't want to rewrite and re-live. I... I think I look forward to seeing Scratch, y'know. What does that even mean? Let me stay with you. C'mon."

Vale works as an assistant for Alan, they primarily are a gofer, running errands and fetching coffees and spending most of their day around Alan, even if Alan is in a depressive episode. Vale is more likely to text and hang around Alan when he is going through writers block as their thoughts are wild and they're running on a stream of consciousness all the time.

They're in college for acting! Vale thinks Alan is an awesome writer and if his works were ever produced on stage, Vale would be the first person to rush to audition for a role. They'd also rush to try and be in whatever movies or tv shows get inspired by his works too!

In the Dark Place, Vale takes on a psychopomp sort of guide form. They're as chipper as ever, but they also do act more wise than they usually let on. This leads to them being good for tips or advice for Alan, or even just a shoulder for him to lean on in the madness. They got that Divine Comedy swagger to them. Virgil leading Dante into Hell!

Vale sings so much in the Dark Place. They're quoting every rock band and singing so much to try and provide. They're going to bring up Alan's favorite bands and try to be inspirational! It's a bard moment! Alan gets some inspiration, some fun time where he's not at threat of dying in his own special hell!

　　it was strange-- the night before had been perfectly normal ( for the most part, anyway. ) but now in the daylight, she couldn't help but feel guilty, a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. her covers were pulled up to her chest to hide at least some of herself away again from his sleazy look. now she was just another notch on his bedpost.

　　' ... right. ' she murmured, not meeting his gaze. she probably would give in again, but that didn't mean she felt good about it.

rare was it that nyara got new customers at her little restaurant, for sleepy hollow was just that: a sleepy little town. so when a stranger walked in and promptly sat himself down at a table off to back she goes up to him with a smile and menu in hand, which she sets down on the table seconds later.

"good evening, sir. welcome to nyara's nook. I am your server, nayra. may I get you anything to drink while you look over the menu?"
