There was her regulars and then there was Caleb Stern, he wasn’t her normal customer. Mainly being because he was in his 30′s and not a old man in a hat meeting his buddies from his youth. No, instead, Caleb would just sit at the bar and just sip on his black coffee while on his phone. An older co-worker who was at the dinner before her told her that Mr.Stern used to just grab the coffee in his own coffee mug and go. She wondered what made him sit down and stay and sip his coffee, maybe it was the music? She gave him a ‘padgent’ like smile as she slid his coffee towards him at the bar top in a way letting him know that his coffee was done.

“ Hey there Mr.Stern, how goes it?” She questioned curiously, she’d never truly talked to him besides slight quips or weather talk. “ Anything interesting going on?”

Caleb McAvoy

     Not much is known about him before he joined the family. The common joke at Caleb’s expense, is he’s the stray that never left. Robert found him picking the locks of the safe in the office and just like Robert to collect lost souls, he gave Caleb a chance. 

     Any time his past is brought up, it’s a version of the truth. The crew’s heard everything from the circus to raised by wolves. But underneath his ‘jokes’ lies a sad upbringing. Abandonment, the system, growing up faster than any young bloke should. All the signs for a psych major to write a thesis. 

     It took a year or so, but Caleb grew to adore the family that practically adopted him. Living in an apartment rather than wherever he can find shelter, a place where he found a purpose, and most importantly stability. There isn’t much he wouldn’t do for the crew after the life he was able to achieve working with them. 

     He’s a player, tends to use others like he was growing up. He hasn’t been in America but five years. Prefers two wheels over four. Loves food and is usually found eating something at all times.
