There was just not something quite right with Caleb Myers. Archie had spent the last few years trying to figure out what made his gut start rumbling every time the man was within five feet of him. He seemed perfectly alright on the outside. A charming smile, a beautiful family, a thriving business. But there was something about him that just made all of his detective senses tingle, and Archie wanted nothing more than to pull the veneer back and take a peek inside. If it meant he kept a closer eye on the man’s sister and wife than usual, fine. If it meant he stopped by the agency every time he got an extra lunch hour, perfect. If it meant he would occasionally find the man walking out of Fairy Tails after a long shift, well--he was a man. Men had needs, or so Archie was to understand (though he’d never understood what was so enthralling about women twirling around in circles), so it was perfectly normal. As was Archie’s presence outside the club, he was there to walk Danielle home, of course, but she didn’t know that yet. Caleb leaving just as he arrived, he couldn’t help calling out to the other man, “Have a good night?”
