“Hmmmm.... maybeeeee... love me?” She giggled and hopped on her heels. “What are we going to be for Halloween?! That’s, like, a key component of being my boyfriend. Ideas?”

“Baby!!!! I would never hurt you! It’d be gentle squeezes,” she teased before leaning up to kiss his cheek. “Like that!”

“Of course I like it! It’s just…weird having this short hair again…. I should get my glases and dress in nerd clothes again and like bring out the old me. Throwback thursday, amirite?”
“Oh you and your throwback Thursday! You know what you should do? Make an entire issue of throwback photos, namely you and your nerd clothes.”
“It feels weird to have a freshly shaved face…”
“I wanna squeeze your cheeks all day long now!!!”

Caleb chuckled and shook his head at her, knowing that she wasn’t terrified of rain, she was just being a little dramatic. He looked up and then frowned. “Yeah…it does look like it’s going to rain…well there goes the idea of having a nice dinner out on the balcony.” He sighed as he squeezed her hand.
“Oh phooey,” she said with a pout. “That sounds magnificent. Maybe tomorrow!” And then the skies let loose and she felt drops of rain splash against her cheeks. She giggled and started running, pulling Caleb along before she stopped abruptly. Then as she stared at him, her hair clinging to her face and his dripping in the rain that had become quite a bit harder. “Wait,” she said, tugging him back towards her. And she didn’t care if the groceries were getting ruined or that she could already feel the shivers settling into her bones. She looked at him and he was the only thing in the world for that moment and she put her hands on his cheeks. “I’m going to kiss you,” she told him softly. looking in his eyes as her mascara ran down her cheeks. And then she kissed him. And not in the way she’d ever kissed him before. She held him tighter to her chest than she had before and she moved her lips against his almost urgently, like she couldn’t get enough. “I love you,” she blurted out, holding him even closer, mumbling against his lips and not caring a bit about the people around them. “I love you.”

Caleb chuckled as he shook his head at her. “Someone is excited to go home, aren’t they?” He asked. “But yeah, let me pay for this real quick then we’ll head home.” He chuckled as he pushed the small cart to the checkout station. Once he rang and bought everything he held the bag i his hand and held out his other hand to her. “Ready?” He asked.
“Mmm, you caught me.” She giggled, looking up at him. “I’m absolutely terrified of rain.” But a smirk grew on her face as she looked away. After all, it was quite clear why she was actually looking forward to going home. Still she intertwined his fingers with hers and strolled outside. “I told you, Caleb, it looks like rain!”

He looked down at her and rolled his eyes at her childish pouting face. As cute as it was… “I don’t know maybe bring Gemma in and snuggle?” He suggested, jokingly of course. As much as he wanted to resit her cute pout. “I don’t knooooow, dunno if I can.”
She leaned her head against Caleb’s shoulder and pouted again. “But Gem’s arms aren’t big and strong like yours… she doesn’t hold me back.” She sighed dramatically and shook her head. “But if you’d rather sleep all by yourself and not with me then…” Another dramatic sigh. “Fiiiiiine.”
Caleb laughed lightly as he pressed a kiss on the top of her head, squeezing her shoulder gently. “If you REALLY want me to stay the night with you, then, I guess I will.” He told her, giving in. Not like he wasn’t going too since he found it so hard to resist her.
Finally a bounce on her toes and a giggle. "Hooray!" It hit her again, how perfect Caleb was for her. How every edge of his puzzle piece clicked into hers. Because she never felt like a burden and she never felt like he didn't want her. Uncertainty was not a part of their relationship and she felt wonderful about it. "Let's get home then, it looks like it's gonna rain soon," she said with a frown.

Caleb chuckled and shook his head at her. “You should’ve just come right out and asked me to stay the night with you Sutton.” He told her with a smile as he draped an arm around her shoulder and brought her closer to him to kiss the side her head. “You know I would’ve if you just asked.” He continued with a smile. “But now that you decided to beat around the bush I don’t think I will.” Caleb teased.
She let out a small laugh as she leaned into the hug. “But Caleb, what will I do all alone and freezing cold?” As she tipped her chin up to look at him, her bottom lip stuck out and she batted her eyelashes. “Please oh please my wonderful strong boyfriend won’t you sleep with me tonight?”
“I don’t appreciate that sarcasm!” Sutton said, looping her arm around his with a big smile. “I mean, biscuits and milk seem like a real proper meal to me but fine.” She sighed and strolled along the aisles, enjoying just… being with Caleb. Just living at the same time as him and being able to do something so normal. “Oh! Can we do soup? I told you how cold my room gets at night haven’t I? I swear I’m chilled to the bone all day. Soup sounds great. And you know, I can teach her all the bad habits I want, but you are our voice of reason which is why we work so well.”
“That’s because you’re still in that delusional phase where you ate nothing but unhealthy goods before I came into your life.” Caleb joked, chuckling. He shook his head at the thought of her eating nothing but sweets and unhealthy things and told himself that he would be shocked if Sutton didn’t develop type 2 diabetes one day from these bad habits. “Why don’t you buy a mini space heater for the night time? Or get a thicker blanket if your room is so cold?” He suggested as he looked at the soup options. “Of course we can have soup though, which would you like? Or would you rather I make it from scratch?” He asked, before raising his eyebrow at her next statement. “If I wasn’t the voice of reason you’d end up giving Gemma nothing but a mouth full of cavities.”
“That is so tragically true,” Sutton said with a giggle, though it was strange that on Good Days, Sutton could forget about everything that happened before Caleb. It just felt like them. It felt like everything happiness was supposed to feel like. She looked over at him and shook her head. “Well I was hinting at you spending the night,” she paused to let out an overly dramatic sigh. “But I guess I can get a better blanket.” She thought for a moment. “You know I looooove your homemade stuff…” She stuck her bottom lip out. “So that would be best. But my baby is too perfect for cavities! Duuuhhhh.”
Sutton stood on her tiptoes and reached for a box of chocolate biscuits. “Well,” she said as she held them to her chest. “I’m making dinner tonight! And it’s these. And milk. That’s it. Because I’m the greatest girlfriend and cook in the world.”
Caleb couldn’t help but laugh at her and he shook his head. “Oh yeah, well good cook you are. Gormet dinner you’ve picked out.” He joked. “Okay, pick something real for dinner, yeah? Can’t be teaching Gemma bad habits now can we?” He asked as he took the box of biscuits and put them in the basket he was carrying.

Rose looked at Sutton for a few minutes and sighed. “I don’t think it’s insane.” She started. “I mean, Adam and I said ‘I love ou’ like…. two months into our relationship so I really can’t say anything.” She continiued. She took a moment to collect her thoughts, sorting through her thoughts to make sure she was [icking the right words. “However… I’m not saying youre crazy or anything… but look at your track record about saying ‘i love you’ to a guy when you haven’t been with him for so long. I’m not tryig to tell you that you shouldn’t feel the way you feel, I’m just telling you to be careful. Its obious you guys care a lot about eachother, and it’s obvious that he really is in it for the long run. I think you’re also still high off of valentines day. So in a while when everything kind of settles down a bit, and ravaluate your feelings a bit, and if you still feel like you love himthen tell him.”
She nodded, taking Rose’s words to heart. She knew Rose was right, she didn’t have the greatest track record for anything based on her last relationships. “I am being careful, really I am. I don’t want to rush into anything but... when he promised me that I believed him... I mean I really believed him. I don’t know... The other two times it was him first and I was caught up in it...” She hid her face in her elbow and sighed. “I’ll wait a little bit longer, I want everyone to know him a little bit more and see what they think but...” She ran her hands down her face and rolled her eyes. “I’m annoyed at myself right now I’m sorry I’m gross... but it just feels so... easy. Like breathing. I’m sorry I’ll stop now... and I won’t say anything yet if you think it’s a bad idea. I just needed to know I wasn’t insane.”

Rose nodded multiple times as Sutton spoke. “Exactly, I mean… sure its normal to want privacy at night on valentines day, but Gemma wasn’t even a year old then and then Harmony gave birth to Melody and he had to be there for…. I mean, it was kind of shitty for him to do that to Marcus.” Rose shrugged. “I like him.” Rose answered simply. “He seems very nice, and humble, a true gentleman.” ROse smiled at her blonde friend. “He seems to be getting along well with everyone, or at least putting an effort too. I mean… if Adam likes him as much as it seems to look like he is, Caleb can’t be that bad at all.” Rose replied honestly. “And you know if I didn’t like Caleb I would’ve told you the coplete and honest truth. I like him, he seems really good for not only you, but also for Gemma too.
She frowned, remembering how disappointed she had been but unable to say it for fear of hurting Will’s feelings. “I was so mad about that... and poor Marcus... I mean - he didn’t even ask properly. It was just expected. What a dick.” Her pout turned into a smile at Rose’s words and she rested her cheek on her knees now. “He really is good for us. And I do know you would tell me, everyone would I’m sure.” She lowered her voice even more and leaned in a bit closer. “Rose I think I love him... Is that insane? I just... I feel so...” She sighed at the cheesiness about to come out of her mouth. “Complete, when I’m around him? Ugh I’m so confused...”
