Week 47.3/52: November 22nd - November 28th 2021 | Reunited with Tiffany! 🍦
I had such terrible sleep. Went to bed at 3am and woke up again at 6am. I couldn't fall back asleep until 8 and I was woken up by housekeeping at 11... tragic. Eventually I got up and got ready. I went to Tom Campbell's Hill first and the skyline was beautiful there! It was such a hassle to get there though. Waited so long for my bus and had to walk up a crazy road to arrive. The view was worth it though! Even though I almost died trying to walk downhill at a literal 90 degree angle. I could have died and no one would know. Seriously. It is an off-leash dog park though so expect lots of fresh dog poop on the ground....... but the view is very nice so maybe we can look past that. HAHAHAHAA.
The next stop was supposed to be Gasoline Alley Museum in Heritage Park, however, the transit to there would have taken way too long that I would not have any time before they close so I went off to Chinook Mall instead just to check out Levi's and Oak and Fort. Neither of the stores had what I had in mind so it turned out to be a waste of a long trip there but at least I ate some nice All-Dressed waffle fries from Potato Corner as a snack. I trained back to hotel and rested (& charged my phone) for around 15 minutes before heading out again to meet Tiffany (aka my closest friend in first and second year uni) for dinner (ah yes Tiffany finally returns to my blog after many years LOL).
We ate dinner together at Point Sushi (Calgary's bullet train sushi! It's equally as cool but a bit more expensive than the Vancouver bullet train sushi). It was so nice to catch up after a solid 3.5 years. We ate mostly nigiri, rolls and tempura. After dinner, we went up the Calgary Tower observation deck for some views. I love the glass floors. Made me so dizzy but I loved the photos I took. Ended off the day at Made by Marcus (famous Calgary ice cream) and I got a single scoop in a cone with cookies & cream and honey apricot lavender. Truly so delicious and worth the hype. Went home so exhausted after walking 17k steps so I did a hard pass out for almost 10 hours. :')
