Name: toyoko ( girl ) & yoshihiko ( boy )

Gender: boy & girl [ twins. ]

General Appearance: toyoko inherited her mothers eyes-- glassy blue, while yoshihiko inherited brown colored eyes. they’re average in height. yoshihiko is lean and limber; toyoko is a bit pudgy. 

Personality: they’re both highly opinionated children. yoshihiko is soft spoken; he doesn’t like much conflict. however if his patience is being tested he will snap and speak his mind. toyoko on the other hand is one to resolve conflict and always finds herself getting involved in court affairs.

Special Talents: toyoko has an affinity for swordsmanship and horseback riding while her brother yoshihiko has a talent for poetry and arithmetic.

Who they like better: they like their mother more because they spend more time with her. they also like their father, but they’re not sure how to interact with him. toyoko likes her father more than yoshihiko likes him. sayuri urges them both to spend time with him. toyoko listens to her, yoshihiko tries, but he can’t bring himself to.

Who they take after more: they take after both of their parents. toyoko takes after her mother and her father, especially in the sense of fighting and combat. she loves adventure and can be defiant. yoshihiko is more like his mother, calmer and pensive. he doesn’t get along with his father as much as he wishes he could get along with-- so he keeps to himself.

Personal Head canon: when they’re both older, they will first set out to travel along the silk road, wanting to experience the world before taking up a position in their grandfather’s court. yoshihko will become enamored with what the rest of the world offers, and he will decided to move from japan and settle somewhere in china. toyoko enjoys the travel, but her heart is set on returning home. she wants to be a part of the diet, even though her position may be limited. she has an appreciation for what her travels have shown her and she wishes to implement the new customs she has picked up on.

fire agate: if my muse is brave or cowardly

my muse in essence is a coward. cooper wanted to run away from the fact he had to face the blight and be a farmer, where his aspirations were deep within the astronomical field and within his engineering. years of training to become a pilot only to surmount to become a farmer? growing a crop that other families were also growing? years of training and study only to be left with his head in the ground, while his heart was up in the stars? cooper didn’t want to face the fact that he, like many other families, had to become a society of caregivers. he is a man of moving forward; a man who aspires for greatness; a man who wants to achieve his dream and move forward. born in the wrong generation. with this in mind, he took up the task of manning the mission and piloting the Endurance space craft. he wanted to run away from his family and wanted to run away from his responsibility on earth. he decided to take on the task to find a new home, to find somewhere that humankind can relocate. where he should have been at home, as farm hand to his father-in-law and helping his son develop his craft to become a third generation farmer-- where he should have stayed home as murphy had pleaded, listened to her, and watched his children grow, he instead went off into space. ambition took hold of him. it wasn’t just out of bravery, it was also out of fear that he’d never be able to man another mission, to fly another plane, to be lost in a generation of what were once innovators and engineers. he was afraid of being left behind, forgotten in the dust.

apache tears: a sadness headcanon

cooper expresses his emotions-- he’s necessarily not afraid to show it.  if he’s happy, he’ll let it be known. being upset and being sad, on the other hand, is something entirely different. on the Endurance, cooper would usually watch the video logs by himself, so he could freely express how he’s feeling. after the time dilation on Miller’s Planet, and the years worth of video messages left by his son, and one by murphy, cooper realized that this was it. that this was what it had all amassed to. we see him sobbing, sobbing as he sees his children having gone through the most pivotal aspects of their lives without him. he’s distraught. he’s got feelings pent up. cooper knows that it’s too late. 

his saddness, he stomachs it. he keeps to himself. he at first tries to reason with it, attempts to make peace. he swallows his sadness, lets the lump form in his throat as his lower lip quivers and becomes painful. cooper then accepts it. only to a certain degree. he allows the saddness to take over him until he decides to take action and try to counter act it. he wants to have some sort of control, but he knows that most of the time, it’s not possible. however, he still persists. cooper expresses his sadness in private, not because it’s a sign of weakness. it’s because he feels it is an intimate emotion. he’d rather express in front of himself and in front of those whom he holds dear. he prefers to express the small moment of sadness in private until he’s ready to come to terms and face it head on.

“I must say, I am rather surprised you came to me for assistance.” It had been long since one of Yharnam had come to their Vicar for help. A stranger to the city something far less likely.
