Garland
1. Garland really regrets letting Brooklyn stay in his home after the G-Rev tournament. It led to everyone moving in. Ming-Ming has a whole wing to herself so that he can get some peace. Brooklyn steadily invites more and more animals to his garden - the garden shed (more like a second garage) is beginning to look like a pet sanctuary. Mystel suspends himself from various beams and pipes and sometimes thin air and Garland’s just taken to pushing him aside when he wants to get anywhere in his own house. Monica and Moses are fine though - except they keep trying to do things to justify their stay there and he’d rather they stopped acting like servants because those who do work there are getting a tad pissed off.
2. After ‘failing’ at Beyblade, he took up ice hockey. It’s therapeutic. He likes being on the ice. It’s quiet and fast. His balance is great - his core is fantastic really. It requires lots of stamina and focus and when he smashes someone into a barrier, the crowd cheers. Really it’s like a breath of fresh air.
3. Every so often he contemplates cutting his hair short but his mother would never forgive him - she’s half-convinced him he’s Samson and if it goes, all his power will go with it.
4. He’s not someone who enjoys technology, he finds it fuzzes his brain and when he did have a smartphone, it affected his sleep. So to appease Ming-Ming (because she must know where they are at all times) he has a Nokia cell phone, the brick kind that will outlast an apocalypse and he checks his emails at least once a week.
5. Garland reads really dense books that help him focus and explore tactics and ways to win - he also sequesters himself in the bathroom and pulls out a light read where no one can find him. Currently, he’s making his way through the Percy Jackson series and is very confused about the characterisation of certain characters.
