Ooooh this is a good-looking batch of pals! Looks like a calligrapher beetle in Calligrapha, a shieldback katydid in Anabrus, a North American Jerusalem cricket, and as you said, a male European earwig :)

Yes!!! The russet alder leaf beetle is my fav:

It looks like it’s stained with the blood of its enemies even though we know it is much too nice to have enemies.

But honorable mention to the globemallow leaf beetle:

Jess submitted via email: I wish I had captured a better photo of this little guy but I had 2 seconds in a hot mall parking lot to snap a quick pic. The window glare makes it difficult to tell but it has a cream-colored body with light brown markings/legs with a darker head. It was about the size of a lady beetle (a hair or 2 under a cm long) I live Rhode Island in the US and have never seen one like it before.

This is funny since I just got an ask about calligrapher beetles! This dude is a calligrapher beetle called the dogwood leaf beetle :)
