Book Cake Tag!
I was tagged by the lovely ifyougaveagirlabook :)
This tag was created by suddenlylorna
The first ingredient in making a cake is FLOUR:
This is the book that was slow to start, but really began to pick up as you went along.
I'd have to say Extras by Scott Westerfeld. I really enjoyed that book, but the conflict wasn't even really introduced until pretty late in the story. But once it was established, the story definitely picked up.
Next, we add MARGARINE:
This is the book that had a really rich plot.
Probably Allegiant by Veronica Roth. That book had a lot going on in it. And some of it made my little fangirl heart break into a thousand pieces.
Then, we crack open some EGGS:
This is the book you thought was going to be bad, but turned out to be quite enjoyable.
I hate saying this but I thought Slaughterhouse-Five was going to be really bad because the first book by Kurt Vonnegut I ever read was Galapagos, and that book really wasn't my style. However, Slaughterhouse-Five was incredibly different and is now one of my favorites.
The next step is to add SUGAR:
What is the sweetest book you’ve read?
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Hazel and Gus have an incredibly sweet and moving relationship. I cried like three times when I read that book.
After we’ve retrieved the cake from the oven, ICING covers the surface:
This is the book that covered every single moment you enjoy in a book i.e happy, funny, sad moments. An all-around book
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. That book had me laughing one second and crying the next. It was an emotional rollercoaster book.
For decoration, we add a dash of SPRINKLES:
A book series for a pick-me-up
Definitely Lord of the Rings. That series will always have a special place in my heart <3
Last but not least, we’ve got the CHERRY ON TOP:
What has been your favorite book so far this year?
Dang, that's a hard one. I've read some really good books this year. Uhhh...I guess I'm gonna say Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell since I marathoned it and finished it in a day, which I haven't done in a really long time. That was a hard question!

11 Facts:
1. I'm studying English.
2. I'll get my Associate's degree in May.
3. I'm transferring to Texas Woman's University in the Fall.
4. I got married in November of last year.
5. I'm addicted to Starbucks.
6. I'm also addicted to Diet Coke.
7. I've submitted poetry for publication once, so far.
8. My poems got rejected.
9. I would give anything to visit New Zealand.
10. I have a three-legged dog.
11. I eat a red bell pepper almost every day.
Questions from Read-Tea-Breathe:
1. Book you would stop life to finish in one sitting?
Definitely The Fault in Our Stars. I would love to be able to read the whole book all at once.
2. Favorite genre of books?
I love fantasy and dystopian books the best.
3. Song that makes you think of a book or reading?
This is probably dumb, but Lady Antebellum's song "Just a Kiss" came out at the same time that I was reading Ronie Kendig's Wolfsbane and it totally reminded me of the relationship between her two main characters and now I think of that book every time I hear that song.
4. Have you ever forgotten to eat/drink because you were too busy reading?
I don't forget to drink because I'm always really thirsty, but I definitely forget to eat or put off eating because I don't want to step away from a book.
5. Library, Secondhand, or New books?
Hmmm. I have a hard time with library books only because my time to read is unfortunately limited and I can never seem to finish them before they're due. I love buying secondhand books, but I also love cracking open a brand-new hardback. So that's a tough one.
6. If you had to choose between a room covered in empty bookcases or a room filled with books and no where to put them what would you pick?
A room filled with books and no place to put them, because that's basically my life right now :)
7. How many books do you try and read a month?
I like to try to read four in a month, more during the summer if I can. Of course, I hardly ever actually achieve this goal because of school and work and such eating up all my reading time.
8. Favorite magazine?
I don't read a lot of magazines, but (and this is totally stupid, I know) I used to love reading TV Guide. I liked reading spoilers about my favorite shows and interviews with cast members and such.
9. Book that you think should be required/taught in every school?
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and 1984 by George Orwell. I think they're really important critics of government, popular society, and power.
10. Do you re-read books or rather read new ones?
I love re-reading books, but now I don't have a lot time. So lately I've only been reading new books.
11. Do you know how many books you own? If so, how many?
I cataloged all my books over Christmas break. I'm proud/ashamed to say that I have around 375 books.
My Questions:
1. If you could live in any fictional world, where would you live?
2. Favorite author?
3. Character you relate to the most?
4. Book that's made you cry?
5. Favorite fictional couple?
6. Favorite reading snack/drink?
7. Favorite place to read?
8. Worst book you've ever read?
9. Most books you've ever read in a year?
10. Favorite book title?
11. Favorite book of all time?

The Rules:
Rule 1: Post the rules Rule 2: answer the questions the person who tagged you asked and write 11 new ones Rule 3: tag 11 people and link them to the post Rule 4: actually tell them you tagged them
My Questions:
1. Do you write with pen and paper or type?
Both. Typing is far easier and more convenient for me, especially when it comes to writing essays. But sometimes, my ideas aren't quite coming out and I just get this urge to write it down on paper, and then everything flows perfectly. So I tend to keep that for creative emergencies.
2. What was your favourite book as a child?
The Harry Potter series.
3. What is your current favourite book?
The Time Traveller's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
4. What genre do write in?
All sorts. Mainly fantasy and chick lit, though.
5. What genre do you read the most?
Again, I read a bit of everything. I tend to jump from genre to genre, reading a few series in each, and then choosing a new one again.
6. Who is your favourite author?
That's a hard one to choose. It'd probably be somewhere in between JK Rowling and Neil Gaiman.
7. Do you listen to music while you write?
Sometimes. I really like classical covers of popular songs for when I do.
8. Speaking of music, what is your most played song in your library?
I don't use iTunes, so I'm not sure. But I think it'd be Amazing Eyes by Good Old War.
9. What’s your favourite movie?
Probably The Holiday. Or My Best Friend's Wedding. Or Love Actually. I don't know. All of them.
10. Did you watch the Winter Olympics? Which country/countries did you root for?
I didn't, no.
11. How are you feeling today?
I'm very tired! I had my longest day of lectures and then went to the gym, where I ran/walked 3km and then rowed 2.5km. Tiiiiiring.
Your Questions:
What are you currently reading?
What do you think of it so far?
What's the most interesting thing that happened to you today?
What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?
If you could go back through your life and change one thing, what would it be?
If you won the lottery, what would you buy?
If you could meet and befriend one celebrity, who would you pick?
Do you have any siblings? If yes, do you get on with them?
Are you at/have you been to/do you want to go to university? Where?
What's something you're really proud of?
If you could ask one person of your choosing a question and they would have to answer the truth, who and what would you ask?
