Im sorry that I've been absent, but I hope to be able to post something here soon to try and explain some things and what I plan to do with my stories.

Any fics you'd recommend? No matter the fandom

Okay I am so sorry that this took so freaking long but I... love.... so many fics.... honestly, I tend to have one or two fics per fandom that I’ll go back to and reread like five years later. Sometimes they don’t hold up overtime, but honestly a lot of it is nostalgia factor for me, to go back to a familiar story that made me life through some rough times and escaping back into that.

But! Some fics to recommend!!

I will always, always, always recommend The Skipper by LinzRW. In fact, everything this person has written has absolutely blown me away but this fic in particular I will sit and read every single day for the rest of my life. I absolutely adore it, it’s so fucking creative and, while some spots might be ~predictable~ I was always thrilled regardless because of how expertly the emotions and humor are depicted. Like. If I could write a perfect fic, it would be like this. Similarly, poorpiratelass has an ongoing series starting with Tongue Tied. This has a similar sense of humor with creativity that I just adore. It balances that line between changing canon events and just adding some fun humor and romance to it. This is a slow burn that burns and I reread this all the time. I’m pretty sure there is a super long review on it where I just gush like an absolute fool haha.

A classic that I love to go to (because I love to rip on OC’s and Mary Sues, despite that being almost exclusively what I write) is The Official Fanfiction University of Middle Earth. This fic absolutely destroys me, it’s a goldmine of giggles and it doesn’t take itself seriously at all. I don’t know man, I just love this one a lot. It’s by misscam/Camilla Sandman!

Now, I know that Twilight gets a shitty (deserved) rap, but there are some good fanfics out there, man, and this is one of them. It’s just pure wish fulfillment, feel good, Jasper is obviously my favorite don’t shame me fanfic. It’s called A Hundred Winks of Sunshine by Tsume Yuki. It’s absolutely adorable and a feel good read that I love catching up on. The author has a lot of other good stories too!

I have two Naruto recommendations, actually! The Facts of Life by bittersweetties, which I adore because it starts off sort of cutesy almost? But holy shit does this story take off and it really keeps your attention. Another one that’s really good is Sakura by Darkpetal16. This fic was actually the fic that made me love Sakura, and as someone who used to not particularly care for her, this series (yes, it’s a series, you’re welcome) made me adore her, even if it’s technically an OC and not actually Sakura. But it did make me love Sakura! They’re both really good Naruto fics, and the authors both has more really cool stuff. LinzRW actually have a hysterical Akatsuki series, it’s pure crack cocaine but damn if it isn’t funny, so if you like Naruto check these ones out!

Last but not least, if you’re a fan of the Joker (and original characters) then Ennya’s Housekeeping (and sequel, Remnant) have what I consider to be the most in character Joker and the most realistic relationship between him and an OC. I cannot stress enough how much I love this fanfiction. it’s not only super relatable in regards to the OC but there are some points of suspense that are honestly terrifying and if there isn’t some gutwrenching moments, ugh my heart!! I love this fic, and it really tugs my Joker loving heartstrings.

I have a question about ode to sleep 😊 what major difference in the rewrite do you think will matter the most in the long run? Until the end of the story? I‘m super pumped to read it!! I love when authors and artists show difference in creating art, it’s like watching a person grow up and mature~

I have two big changes in mind for the rewrite, but both are still being heavily debated due to the big changes it would cause. It would be the same characters, but a different story almost, and I’m not sure how fans would feel about that?

Essentially I’m debating on whether or not Toki would have knowledge of the sequel aka :re and have the story essentially ‘reset’ with Toki arriving there from 2020 or our current time period. A lot of intimate knowledge to make things even more overwhelming and confusing for our protagonist lol.

I’m also debating other aspects, such as involving more people from the first Toki’s life into the story, friends wondering about her, as well as her going out and experiencing a world full of ghouls vs the more strict Toki/Canon Characters interactions, if that makes sense? 

I don’t want to give away too much, but I’m definitely on the fence about how much of this is going to be a rewrite and how much of it will be more like a reboot. I would love some opinions from you guys! Do you have anything specific that you are kind of hoping for? Anything you think would be fun or improve the story? I’m always down for critique or suggestions :3

I’m a dumbass who just realised that you wrote rising, rising how stupid am I ommggg. And I was thinking the whole time “ wow this writing seems familiar yet different hmm” oh wow I WONDER WHY?? Anyway I love Austen and I love the way you write her. Mischievous is her middle name right? She reminds me of a cat ~

oh gosh why would it make you stupid?? i’m not sure what else of mine you’ve read, but I think it can be pretty easy to not realize that the same author wrote two different stories, especially if they’re as different as most of mine are! also, since rising is my newer fic it isn’t really that popular yet so I don’t get to talk about it too much, but it’s honestly my new baby haha

I would definitely say mischievous is a very good contender as a middle name, she definitely has a sneaky streak in her haha
