Ed can obviously tell that his partner is feeling down, but he can't wrap his head around why they would be feeling down...the only thing he can think to do it distract their mind with his brilliant plans, problem-solving skills, and of course his riddles...and somehow it just works for his partner as they slowly start to smile again, appreciating his efforts.

Jervis will go as far as his partner will allow, but even then his clingy-ness will prevail over any sickness. Not only will he always have tea, soup, and the like ready for them but will still snuggle up next to his partner--even as they sniffle, cough, and hack into the night.

Here's a wip from a Bigby Wolf x F!Singer!Reader that I may or may not turn into a short little series that's based on Zeroing In but can be read without having read it. I just really enjoyed the dynamic I set up and wanted to continue playing with it.

As a long time performer, you know how to work the crowd with your musical numbers.

You knew you should probably be looking around and engaging with other audience members. 

You just couldn't help it though. 

Especially when he was around and seemed to genuinely be enjoying himself for once. 

Bigby Wolf kept his word when he said he would come around and see you perform whenever he had a chance and not just show up searching for perps.

He's managed to come by at least once every other week and needless to say it always was the highlight of your week.

 You two have tried to make plans outside of both your work schedules but it's been difficult to manage between the long nights you both kept and Bigby occasionally dipping in and out of the picture. 

Don't let him be on a case either, he stays clear of you like a bad omen. You know he's worried of getting you somehow involved in whatever the case entails but you did wish he could share more of his worries onto you so he didn't have to carry so much. 

You two managed to settle somehow with these interludes of eye contact and small knowing smiles. 

At least until one night when you weren't smiling anymore.

Hopefully this isn’t too much but I’ve been having more of an awful time than usual lately and as strange as it may sound, your Jervis fics have been really nice to go through and read over again during all of it.

Moral of the story, I really appreciate all the work you do and you help a lot more people than you realize.

First of all, I'm so sorry to hear things have been much harder and awful for you than usual! That absolutely sucks, you deserve nothing less than love, happiness and posterity. I hope things get easier and more positive for you very soon!

Your message absolutely warmed my heart though, I wasn't sure where to begin to respond. It's one of the best compliments I could ever receive for my writing or any of my work really.

All I ever want to do with the stuff I make is to leave an impact on others. Whether it's inspiring them, comforting them, making them laugh, etc. I just love it! It's the most rewarding, validating and motivating thing to hear for me. And it makes me happy to know that my writings can give you some semblance of comfort to help you through your rough time ❤️

I hope things get easier for you soon and thank you so much for sharing. It wasn't too much at all! I'll definitely remember this whenever things get rough for me and I'm in a low patch in the future. Thank you so much ❤️💚
