Patience is a virtue

One thing, on top of many, I've struggled with during this pregnancy is my patience and tolerance. I have none when it comes to anyone. After 7 months I am really starting to dislike the loose cannon I have become. It is much easier to just blow up than it is to actually manage my feelings and emotions. The blow up method isn't proving to be successful to me. Loved ones are getting hurt and intolerant of me. Time for some mental fitness. I read a week ago an article about this orange rhino challenge. It's a challenge not to yell at your kids for one year. To some this may be easy. For me it will be what it is. A challenge. But I'm going to take it on! Why do we yell at our kids at home but not in public? Because we have no audience at home? What about your kids? Are they not your audience? They should be your most important audience. They are people with feelings. Young people who are still learning. They have bad days like us. They have not learned how to deal with their bad days yet. When we yell it just shows them to have a temper tantrum and yell when they don't get what they want.
