Working the side hustle this morning, reflecting how seldom that we’ll manually install a (16’ x 8’ x 5’ , 1, 800Lb) swim spa WITHOUT the aid of a crane. While brawn is a component in this line of work, it mostly comes down to the proper tools, leverage and experience. Drive up access to the pad is necessary to reduce the number of movements, limit exertion and possible damage. The procedure involves pry bars, PVC pipe rollers, a partial dismount onto on airbag, an oversized flat furniture dolly and a floor jack (w/brawn nudging it into final position). Say hello to one of the least safest spots for guiding a 1,700 Lb (portable) swim spa down the back of a 3-story house and into position.
