in honor of Barbie I’d like to talk about my favorite theory about the origin of the name of the color pink (of which first recorded usage by OED is 1669! England had begun colonizing America before they had a word for light red)
Apparently, it comes from these flowers, also called pinks
which, in turn, get their name from their jagged edges, resemblant of the sewing technique of pinking: to cut a jagged or scalloped edge
growing up is about realizing you aren’t irredeemable you were just 16
uhhh yeah I’m a student (non practicing)
Super excited to add this one to my jacket >:)
dracula daily was such a good idea not just for splitting it up into chunks but it really helps you feel the time which can be hard to portray well in novel or even film format. like, I am in so much suspense rn why did he skip a day what’s happened
