none of them mind when this happens because sometimes he has extremely insightful things to add (he's especially good at reminding everyone of the citizen perspective), but sometimes he's just there to tell jokes and be a nuisance until the meeting disbands. he usually stays on luke's lap the entire time. if he's in a particular mood he'll sit on calum or ashton instead, just to see what happens (everything continues as it normally would, but luke pouts about it)

Calum has plenty of shirts and Ashton could’ve picked any of them, but for some reason he thought that an old shirt neither of them has used in years should be what he wears to rehearsal today.

And it’s obvious why it hasn’t been used in so long. It doesn’t fit anymore. It didn’t fit Calum the last time he tried it on, and it definitely doesn’t fit Ashton now. Calum can see the fabric stretched around his shoulders, the short sleeves banded tight around his biceps, the buttons straining to hold it together, the first few left undone or else they would’ve snapped.

Calum feels like he’s about to snap himself, watching Ashton attempt to drum without ripping that damn yellow shirt to shreds.
