In their defense, the editors had a very, very quick turnaround for this episode.
i wasn't criticising! it just made me laugh. like "no sara keep your warm footwear on your feet aren't going to be in the shot anyway"

This was awesome. Really, really good. I love that you have Lena not being much of a cook. That’s totally my headcanon for her pre-Stef/Brandon. In fact, I’m working on a fic for Stef’s first meeting w/Dana and this is a plot point. But this is awesome!
Oh that's so funny that that's a headcanon for you, too! It may come up again in future chapters, possibly. :) Your fic sounds interesting, too!
Thank you so much! I always appreciate feedback! :) It keeps me writing and improving.

Just imagine thingverse starting in season 11, which I believe is your actual timeline, isn’t it? (Post Az fulfilling her commitment?) - You gave them the life where they worked on and solved issues before kids. Shonda didn’t. But the end is the same.
Err. The end isn't really the same? I mean, Sofia seems lovely, and if they ever have more kids, they'll probably be lovely too, but the end wouldn't really be the same. And what do you mean Az fulfilling her commitment? Do you mean in Malawi? 'Cause I think you might have thing!verse confused with another fic?
And actually, Asa would've been born this year, about a month and a half ago. So not the same timeline.
And I get that Thing!verse probably would make terrible television, because there's not as much drama, and every works on their shit, but as usual, writing involved AU fic has, for me, been really detrimental to my enjoyment of the actual ongoing show.

I still need to finish out the 30 days challenge…
Oh yes! Please do! :) Can't wait until we have more material to work from. We're doing our best to exhaust what little we have! :)

You could, oh, I don’t know, write tons of Fosters fanfic. :)
Ha, i see what you did there! If only life would give me a bit of a break, I would be writing a lot quicker than I am, but I am writing, I promise! :)

There really aren't any. The only other one is in episode 2 along with Mike. Lena/Brandon have the solo scene when he's practicing piano, and she worries about him to Stef in that episode. My take is Stef handles B's discipline solo but w/Lena's guidance
I was looking for any parenting moments - not specifically discipline (and actually was trying to avoid that) but I totally agree with you about how they handle Brandon because I couldn't find any either. I know about the one with the piano but need something with both of them and was hoping for a nicer moment than the scene with Mike. Meh. Thanks. I'll figure something out. :)
Didn't want to keep reblogging my post, but I tweeted Bradley and Peter Paige exactly that last week - that I hoped for more of Lena's POV next season. He tweeted back and then deleted his response, which was a bit defensive. (Just that we got Lena's POV last season.) I meant it exactly as you describe Stef's journey of this season - a bit of an arc that's delving into her issues. I think it's easy to go with Teri/Stef because she jumps off screen. Lena's more of a challenge.
Hmm that's a little weird. I don't think we have much of Lena's POV. Not about herself, her life. In terms of the kids, maybe. Jude in particular. But we don't have a lot of back story for her and what we do have about her is mostly in reaction to other people, most often Stef. Not that any of that is a bad thing. But I really want to know more about Lena. How she came into herself. How her family reacted, whether they were immediately supportive or had to work to be the great accepting support system they are now. I want more about her dealing with her mom and their racial issues. (Which is what we have the most about at this point, in terms of Lena specific back story.) There is so much more to be explored, she's such a deep character. I hope they give that to her and don't make her a permanent back drop for Stef and the kids.
There's so much they could go into. Her coming out, her past relationships, how she became a teacher (something often avoided by LGBTQ community because of fear of acceptance,) her relationship with Brandon and how that developed over time, how she dealt with having a fresh out of the closet partner... the possibilities are endless.
