#4 forehead kiss. cambionx
The child is only a few weeks old, and unaware of the joys and the evils that swamp the world around it. Abandoned children are not under Michael's governance, but he tends to them when he can. Soothes their pains, heals their sickness. He provides strength when they otherwise have none, and he eases those that are beyond saving into Heaven.
But this child is strong. He is healthy, and he will soon have a family to love him and care for him. More than that, he is lucky. Infants are innocent, and that innocence is shrouding his true nature, otherwise Michael would not be looking down at his sleeping form with naught but adoration in his eyes. He hears Zachariah beckon him from his station in Heaven, and Michael knows he must leave the infant be. His parting gift is a gentle kiss to the babe's forehead, perhaps the first gesture of affection in Jesse's life.
