Introducing Koriand’r 

THE BASICS;

NAME: Koriand’r 

ALIAS(ES): Starfire, Kory, Kory Anders 

AGE: Twenty-Six

PRONOUNS & GENDER: Female. She/Her

FACECLAIM: Kiana Lede 

AESTHETICS: Leather Jackets and untamed hair.  The smell of a warm summer day with just the right breeze.  A smile that lights up the room and energy infectious enough to draw many in.  

A DEEPER LOOK;

BACKGROUND: Kory was a member of the Teen Titans and is a current/founding member of The Outlaws, The Titans and a member of the Justice League Reserves 

WEAPONS: She herself is a weapon with her Tamarean physiology.   

POWERS/ABILITIES/SKILLS: She has superhuman strength, stamina and durability.  The ability to fly and fire energy projections from herself.  She also has linguistic assimilation which she can trigger with a touch.  

GREATEST STRENGTH: Her heart.  Kory believes in the betterment of those around her and that everyone is capable of good.  

GREATEST WEAKNESS/FLAW:  Her naivety.  Kory can easily put herself in an impossible situation with her desire to believe in the good.   

ONE FEAR:  She would lose her friends.

ONE HOPE:  That she can find a new type of inner peace on board this ship.  

HEADCANON(S):  Kory wears a necklace with charms inspired by Red Hood and Arsenal.  A way to keep the outlaws close to her heart.  They helped her re-find herself after her memories were taken from her.  She also has a charm bracelet with charms representing the original members of her time in the Teen Titans.  These two teams hold special places in Kory’s heart and she thinks fondly of all those involved.  Kory often struggled with human culture, finding her own use of idioms and slang that doesn’t quite match with the times.  Kory hoped that joining the Cambriaone would help her finally make peace with a life she feels like has spun out of complete control.  Kory tends to cling to her naïve ways as her ways of coping with the horrors she endured in her life.  It was better to believe in the good, then believe that all the bad happened to her for no other reason then just cruelty.

AESTHETICS: the arrow - sharp sting of loneliness, those lilac - tinted dreams, and that warm wit.

BACKGROUND: prior to volunteering for the cambriaone, kate had been working hawk investigations alone in california for a while. she’d just been returning home to new york under her sister’s secretive request for help, reconnecting with her old beloved friend cassie, when the letter came. her storyline follows current and most comics, along with my own interpretations and headcanons.

WEAPONS: her bow and quiver !

POWERS/ABILITIES/SKILLS: truthfully, kate does not hold superpowers of her own. that being said, she’s a master archer and deeply skilled with battle staves, swords and bow and arrows/crossbows. she’s also trained in boxing, general combat, kickboxing, martial arts, and jiu jitsu.

GREATEST STRENGTH: kate is incredibly crafty! she can weasel her way in and out of a lot. she knows she’s good at what she does, and that aids her!

GREATEST WEAKNESS/FLAW: she can be a little....paranoid, sometimes. a little nervous. there’s a cautiousness in her that keeps her on her toes, but sometimes it’s a little much.

ONE FEAR: messing up and doing irreversible damage.

ONE HOPE: in relation to being here, she hopes to find adventure and some sort of emotional fulfillment. something fun, something worthwhile. she came here of her own volition, so she hopes it’s good.

kate feels pretty good, honestly! she’s here with her best friend, and honestly? the two of them together can tackle anything. there’s comfort in numbers, and while more would be great, as long as she has cassie, kate kind of feels like she can take on the world. she’s curious about what’s going on, and feels a little weird about the cryosleep. the only thing she has an issue with is how long she’d been asleep, for. it feels...frightening, to think about everyone she loved, and where they may be, if they’re okay at all. mostly, though, she’s just curious, cautious, and ready for things to go bad, if needed.

CONFUSED? jeff... thought the pamphlet was some stupid fake thing, or worse, an elaborate scheme that the dean came up with to get him alone - so he was fairly surprised to find himself awake on the ship. he’s still pretty convinced he’s had another concussion or that he’s the fake jeff living in real abed’s head. either way, he’s confused and he doesn’t like it and when he said he’s ‘never stepped foot out of colorado’ he didn’t mean this.

𝙱𝙰𝙲𝙺𝙶𝚁𝙾𝚄𝙽𝙳 . Anakin is taken from early on in Revenge of the Sith , from a little after his talk with Padme about his vision of her death. 

𝚆𝙴𝙰𝙿𝙾𝙽𝚂 . Anakin is the owner of a lightsaber , one that is blue in color. Eventually he wields a red lightsaber , but he’s taken from before the point he has one.

𝙿𝙾𝚆𝙴𝚁𝚂 / 𝙰𝙱𝙸𝙻𝙸𝚃𝙸𝙴𝚂 / 𝚂𝙺𝙸𝙻𝙻𝚂 . Anakin has years of Jedi training , and as a result he’s a very capable warrior. His most proficient skill is his usage of the Force , which is considerably more powerful than most. He is also an expert in piloting , mechanics , and engineering. 

𝙶𝚁𝙴𝙰𝚃𝙴𝚂𝚃 𝚂𝚃𝚁𝙴𝙽𝙶𝚃𝙷 .Anakin’s greatest strength is his ability to love , because at the end of the day , even after being Darth Vader for years on end , Anakin chose to save his son over anything else , including his life.

Anakin is admittedly fairly annoyed about being brought onto the Cambria , because as far as he knows , he has a pregnant wife at home , and he needs to get back in order to make sure she’s okay.

BACKGROUND: Luna University may have accepted her as a professor despite her interesting history, but it doesn’t make the solid rules and requirements easier for River to live with. Having just published a new paper on the Ood and the Space Spheres and a with a little time to spare before the ‘field trip’ to the Lux Foundation library (or a newly stolen vortex manipulator to create said time), she went looking for a new adventure, and they’d heard a little about a hologram invite that doesn’t actually care what answer you give it before it makes you disappear. It took her about a year or three of searching places people had left from before they got her invite while avoiding seeing future spoilers, but she’s in desperate need of an adventure and to discover what is happening on the ship (and where interesting things may be on a future archaeological dig).

WEAPONS: Vortex manipulator, hallucinogenic lipstick, a sonic screwdriver, and micro-explosives, as well a small gun and several hidden knives

HEADCANON(S): River’s about ten years post THORS and doesn’t expect to see any of her family again, with the possible exception of the doctor, that she’s aware of the other proto-timelords made with her DNA but has never mentioned them to anyone, she really enjoys a good bath, and they still have a soft spot for teen movies from the early noughties courtesy of Amy.

How does your character feel about being dropped into the Cambria program? Are they excited? Suspicious? Confused? 

She’s excited, for sure, at the idea of a new adventure and they can never truly resist a good mystery, but she knows her diary is very full now. She’s looking forward to working at a new university in a new environment too, since many of the universities she’d like to work out wouldn’t hire someone who’s been to Stormcage, even pardoned.

What does your character hope to see the most during the Cambria one’s journey? 

Oh, they’re not picky, something fun, something sparkly, and something worth her spending their time on it. Bonus points if they’re all the same thing. Or equivalent points if it’s something worth writing a paper on, they suppose.

If your character could bring one thing or person from home, what would it be?

Their vortex manipulator – they don’t much enjoy taking the long, linear way of dealing with time, and having to walk around the ship constantly is almost as bad. Her lipstick is a close second, though. The Doctor would be more useful than any of it.

BACKGROUND: 

ANAKIN WAS BORN IN THE OUTER RIM ON A DESERT PLANET NAMED TATOOINE TO SHMI SKYWALKER AND ... WELL, THE FORCE. ( APPARENTLY. ) HE GREW UP AS A SLAVE, BUT WHEN HE WAS NINE YEARS OLD HIS LIFE CHANGED WHEN HE MET NOT ONLY THE QUEEN OF NABOO, BUT TWO JEDI ; QUI-GON JINN AND OBI-WAN KENOBI.

THANKS TO HIM WINNING THE PODRACE, HE WAS SOLD TO QUI-GON WHO SAW SOMETHING IN HIM BUT THEY HAD TO LEAVE THE MOTHER BEHIND, BEFORE GOING TO CORUSCANT WHERE A LOT HAPPENED ( THE MAN SUPPOSED TO BECOME HIS MASTER DYING, ETC ) AND WAS FINALLY TAKEN IN AT THE JEDI TEMPLE AS NEWLY KNIGHTED OBI-WAN'S PADAWAN.

FAST FORWARD TO 10 YEARS LATER WHEN HE SAW PADME AMIDALA AGAIN. THE CLONE WARS STARTED. HE LOST ONE ARM. ( THEY GOT MARRIED IN SECRET. ) AND THIS IS WHERE WE'RE AT PRETTY MUCH.

MONTHS PRIOR TO HIM SUPPOSED TO FALL TO THE DARKSIDE, HE WAS ASSIGNED A NEW MISSION BY THE JEDI COUNCIL AND WHILE HE BELIEVED HE'D BE SENT TO AN ACTUAL PLANET AS PART OF THE WAR ... HE WAS INSTEAD SIGNED UP INTO THE CAMBRIA ONE PROGRAM.

BACKGROUND: Padme was always destined for civil service.  When she was just twelve she desired to enact change in Naboo this lead to her desire to be Queen of Naboo.  At age 14 she became the youngest Queen in Naboo history under the guidance (manipulation) of Senator Palpatine.  Palpatine helped her become Queen believing she’d play right into his hands, but he could never estimate how hard it would be to control the young Queen.  Padme sought to globalize Naboo and began making trade agreements outside of their galaxy network.  This lead to a blockade of Naboo by the Trade Federation under the orders of Darth Sidious.  Due to Padme’s tactical skills, she had surrounded herself with body doubles that could all swap out and portray each other with ease.  Each Handmaiden was trained with hand to hand combat skills and blaster training.  No one could spot the difference between the Maidan’s, they master speaking similarly and even walking the exact same way.  Sabe was Padme’s prime double and when the incursion occurred.  They swapped places for the foreseeable future.  Padme and her handmaidens were rescued by Qui Gon Jin and his Padawan Obi Wan.  With the intent of bringing them to the Senate to plead their case before the Chancellor.  With a brief pit stop on Tatooine, she came across Anakin Skywalker for the first time.  A young boy who had a good heart in her eyes.   Padme fell under Senator Palpatine’s manipulation when she agreed to call a vote of no confidence in the sitting Chancellor and give her nomination to Palpatine to take his seat.  Leading him to become the acting Chancellor during the entirety of The Clone Wars. Padme returned to Naboo and finished her reign after the Blockade was lifted.  Later joining the Senate at the request of her successor and would later serve in the Senate till her death.   Padme became a thorn in the Dark Side during her time in the Senate.  Leading to a death contract being taken out on her head, leading to the death of one of her trusted Hand Maidens who stuck by her side as she ventured into the Senate.  This brought her back into Anakin Skywalkers life, when The Council was requested to provide her a Jedi-Body guard.  Anakin and Padme became close during this time and started a relationship in secret that would lead to her death and the birth of her twins.  Padme couldn’t fathom Anakin turning to the Dark Side but when faced with proof provided by Obi-Wan she sought him out herself.   She stared the monster he became in the face and lost consciousness.  Padme later awoke aboard the Cambria.  No kids, No husband and just a new life faced before her.   Padme has been creating her own life here, hoping to cancel out the horrors her husband had done.

GREATEST STRENGTH:  Her belief in the good that people can do.

ONE FEAR:  Her children are gone.

ONE HOPE:  That she did enough good back home that the Republic was able to be rebuilt without her. 

HEADCANON(S): Padme has spent her whole life being underestimated by those around her.  She often uses this to her advantage. Padme often gets looks as Head of Security on the Ship but she runs a tight ship.  Her guards meet daily for training, she personally reviews every file or piece of paperwork that comes across her desk.  She has her teams back and will take on any challenge with them.
