I've seen u post some sorority noise gifs / lyrics - the frontman is a sexual abuser I'd stay clear of them!
oof i don’t know how to say this whithout pissing people off, so i’ll just try.
i’m familiar with the matter and i also wasn’t happy with the way cameron boucher “resolved” the whole thing. it is totally resonable if you don’t want to have anything to do with sorority noise, but their music resonates so much with me that they still mean a lot to me and i still vibe with their lyrics.
same goes for the smiths who i absolutely adore, though morrissey is literally the worst. and i also still like swmrs despite what joey did (i actually don’t know to much about that tbh).
i know it’s not much to offer, but whenever you see someone remotely problematic on my blog, chances are good i know they are a bad person but like their art/the photo or whatever it is. and while i’m not 100% supporting the idea of considering art completely seperate from the artist because i think it’s taking the easy way out and abdicating your own responsibility, i do think you can like something in a reflective way with acknowledging what’s wrong with it...
i hope that explains it a bit and anyway, you can still always feel free to tell me such things because sometimes maybe i don’t know.
