Do you know the fic where Dean and Sam are hunters and so is Cas and they meet him once in a while while on hunts and all three of them team up and stop the monster then go their separate ways. One hunt was when Dean had to choose who to die and he chose Sam over Cas and then the guy said both will die but they escaped. Then there was one with the scarecrow episode where Cas and Dean were tied up with the girl and were in trouble but Sam came and helped them. Dean and Cas ended up together??
