Eighteen // MGK x Camila [Chapter 2]
After Kells got out of work, he recieved a text from Camila saying that she wanted to meet and talk about the task they did yesterday. He knocked on her front door and waited a few seconds before the door was answered by Camila with a huge grin on her face. "Mom, Dad, I'm going out with Kells! Don't wait up!" She shouted and she got out and walked to her car, which actually was her dad's, and tossed the keys to Kells. "Where do you want to go?" He said as he started the car. "Just drive." Camila smiled. » "This burger is just awful." Camila scrunched up her face after taking a bite of the burger she just ordered. She didn't even bother to pick it up from her plate after. Kells took a bite then laughed, "You're right.", dropping his burger on his plate. "What did they say after I left?" He asked, eating a mouthful of french fries. "Well, they scolded me for even associating myself with a person who has a nickname of a criminal." Camila laughed. She told him everything her parents told her. How they knew boys like Kells that will just use her and break her heart in the end, how she shouldn't ever meet him again and all that stuff. They just laughed at what her parents said. Who knew their poor acting skills would work? They actually thought for a second that her parents wouldn't fall for it. But I guess, because of Kells' real nervousness on the fact that he's going to meet Camila's parents made it more realistic. "I've met them before! How can they not remember me?" Kells exclaimed. "I don't know. It's probably because they only saw you for a little while back in school and you left immediately when you saw them coming." "Yeah, good point." He replied, finishing his meal. Camila was about to get her wallet to pay for what they ate but Kells stopped her. "Don't worry, Mila, I got this." He said, searching for his wallet in his pockets. His eyes grew wide when he couldn't find it. Camila just raised an eyebrow at him and pulled out hers. "No, no! Say what, let's just run for it." Kells grinned. He looked around first, checking if anyone was keeping an eye on them and when everything was clear, "Come on!" He whispered, got up as fast and as silent as he can and grabbed Camila with him. They ran as fast as they can to the exit and as far as they can be from the diner that they just came from. "Oh my God, Kells!" Camila punched his arm. "What?" He laughed. "I can't believe you just made me do that. Well, I mean I couldn't have done anything because you pulled me but we just commited a crime! What the hell were you thinking? I can't believe I just did this!" She punched his arm a couple of times while speaking but Kells just laughed the whole time. "Why are you laughing?! I'm gonna go back there and pay." Camila started to walk away but Kells grabbed her wrist. He pulled her and so their faces were centimeters apart. They stared at each other for a few seconds then started to lean in. *BEEP* They both jumped at the sound and turned to see who interrupted. A car stopped in front of them then the windows rolled down. "Michael! Hi!" Camila exclaimed, still startled from what was about to happen earlier. "Hey, dude." Kells greeted him. "Camila! Kells! Long time no see!" Michael said as he got out of his car to greet the two. "Yeah, we didn't know you'd be back!" Camila said. "Yeah, well, Australia's been good to me but I think I like it here more." Michael laughed. "That's nice, Mike! Let's hang out sometime, yeah?" Kells said. "Yeah, sure, Kells! It's good to be back." He smiled at the two of them. "So, you two are, like, together now?" Michael added. They both turned to look at each other, debating on whether they should tell the plan to Michael or not. Kells just elbowed Camila leaving her to answer the question. "Uh, well, we're really close, I guess?" Camila said, then turned to look at Kells who was nodding his head in approval. "Of course you're really close. You've been best friends since high school." Michael chuckled. "Well, if you don't want to tell me, I'll get going. Just hit me up when you need me!" He shouted as he was walking back to the driver's seat and he entered his car driving off. "Bye!" The two shouted in unison. Kells and Camila turned to each other and sighed deeply. "What should we really tell people?" Kells asked, pulling out a cigarette from the box in his pocket and a lighter. "I don't know. Should we tell them that we're just fake dating or do we continue to act as a couple?" Camila wondered out loud, running a hand through her hair. "You decide." He said and blew out a sickly smelling puff of smoke. "Ugh, would you please stop that? You know I don't like it when you smoke." Camila rolled her eyes and cover her nose and mouth with her hand. He took another long drag and faced Camila, acting as if he was about to blow smoke on her face, but he turned away and blew all of it on the other side. He dropped the cigarette and stepped on it even though the cigarette wasn't even halfway through. He then popped a gum in his mouth to get rid of the smell of cigarette in his breath. "Thank you." Camila smiled sarcastically. "Now back to the point, I think we should just-" "Tell them we're a couple." He cut her off then smiled. "Why?" She asked. "I don't know. It'd be funny to see their reactions when we tell them." Kells said, but deep inside he knew he wanted to because maybe, just maybe, after all these years he can make her realize that he's more than just a friend. • #eighteencamkelly
