Camo Box: Final
Médium: Acrylics on box
When I first received instructions for this assignment, I was very excited for the colour matching part of it. I’d never done it before and it sounded very cool to do and attempt. As my inbetween space I chose one of the machines in our studio, with a grey and blue toned surface. My first thought when attempting to colour match these tones was “how the hell will I achieve those colors using only red, blue, yellow, black and white”. I started with just black and some white to achieve a grey tone, u then added some blue but noticed the hue was too cool so I thought maybe some red would make it warmer and give it more of the lavender grey look. After many attempts of mixing and colour matching u finally got the color. I completely emptied my white tube of paint doing this assignment. In my opinion I did an amazing job in camouflaging the box and color matching, especially it being my first time attempting this.
