** Egmont, Canada ** A gorgeous little park in the heart of Egmont was such a serene spot to take a breath and really absorb our surroundings. Egmont is home to a beautiful bioluminescent lake as well as mountainous surrounding, towering alpines and untouched wild areas. For an old school friend’s birthday, I have just been away for a few days. Sadly, Sarah couldn’t come too. We were in Cornwall at a nature reserve where they have ancient, historic breeds of wild animals and even some Lynx cats. . It was a great couple of days with minimal technology but by far one of my favourite thing was staring into the evening camp fires (and obviously catching up with old friends 😀). There’s something amazing about fire. We all for a few moments just stared at it in silence. There are not - to my mind - any other phenomenon like it. It must be something primal, and old circuit and in-built as - admittedly, with a sample set of only 4 - we were all totally captivated by it. I had also brought some wood from home after pruning a day tree last year - so it smelled wonderful too! .
