Teddy was pissed, and for good reason. Slamming their phone down on the mess hall table, they turned to David angrily. They’d been idly scrolling through a Wikipedia article while eating as was their wont, and had stumbled onto the dreaded Mars Climate Orbiter.

“Okay, so, get this. They had a fucking, a fucking conversion error on the probe launch. Like, some idiot forgot to convert from metric to imperial, and it--it worked about as well as you’d expect!”

As they ranted, their lips pulled back, exposing a canine sharper than any human’s should be. 

“It’s basic fucking practice to use metric.”

Okay. It’s been a few days that Raz has been paying cautious attention to the unusual presence coming from deep in the forest. It feels like he’s being watched, and not from forest critters. He knew that feeling all too well, and this most certainly was not it. The benefits of growing up in a travelling circus: You learn what it feels like to have critters like bears and the occasional bobcat watching you.

No, this was different- he couldn’t place a source in the forest, didn’t know where exactly to look. He’s currently doing more investigating- staying on the forest’s edge, within the camp’s boundaries. He doesn’t know what’s causing this yet, but he’s gonna find out. Investigations were always easier to do alone, since he could put his focus into his psipowers.

Mal blinked all five of her eyes staring at the open fridge. There wasn't really something she could reach, not in her current state--sleep-shifting always screwed her over grandly. This time, it had left her with too many eyes and a good few inches shorter. Luckily, she was at the very least recognizable as herself. Unluckily, this meant she needed to refuel--and fast.

Pulling out a jar of pickles from the bottom shelf, the girl tried to yank the lid off, but she was weak from burning calories to change form, sending the jar crashing on the ground and the pickles skidding across the tile.

Swearing under her breath, she skittered into the corner, heart beating fast, waiting for the inevitable investigation.

You got The Fool, which... I mean I don’t know you well enough to make that judgement, but do with that what you will. 

The Fool usually means things like, uhm... trust and innocence, and adventures! Maybe you’re gonna go on an adventure soon?  

I also pulled the Six of Swords, so either it’s something to do about an adventure over water, or you’re running away because you bought too many swords.
